First, St. Louis University got clobbered by Kent State Wednesday night by 41 points, 81-40.

St. Louis is 6-2, but they have struggled at times under new coach Rick Majerus. Tommie Liddell has not looked good this season (he is averaging under 10 ppg, and scored only 5 points Wednesday), after leading them in scoring last year with 15.4 ppg.

Some of the SLU message board posters began taking shots at Liddell, that's when things got strange. Liddell's dad apparently joined into the discussion by blaming Rick Majerus for the problems.
Read about it in this weird article by Gary Parrish (this guy obviously hates message boards and posters)--

Not one of Parrish's better-written articles ... but, then maybe I'm one of those "sometimes-loony fans" he references in his op-ed piece.

I guess some people just don"t understand message boards as all the posters are entitled to their opinions and whether you agree or disagree is what makes them interesting; just don"t disagree with me.

I don't think Parrish has a problem with people voicing their opinions. He DOES have a problem with people who spew falsities, as mentioned at the beginning of the column.
