"Special agent Danny Kim (California Attorney General's office in Los Angeles) said he is looking into whether "any funds or credit cards were taken or used under the foundation's name and used for other purposes."
and .."illegally used to pay for benefits to former USC basketball player O.J. Mayo"

"Department of Justice subpoena and warrant power could accelerate investigations by the NCAA and Pacific 10 Conference and a USC probe into any possible wrongdoing by Mayo, his mentor, Rodney Guillory, or Tony Hicks, chief executive of the L.A.-based National Organization of Sickle Cell Prevention and Awareness Foundation."

ESPN also broke the story and reported on this yesterday
"The California Attorney General's office is investigating the possible illegal use of an American Express card account that was opened under the guise of being issued to a sickle cell charity, but was used to provide thousands of dollars in benefits for former USC freshman guard O.J. Mayo, a state official told ESPN ....."

"The credit card that was issued to the charitable organization was used..."to purchase a hotel room in Hermosa Beach for Mayo and a girlfriend to stay in, as well as thousands of dollars of clothing for Mayo at a California clothing store called Men's Land, a flat-screen television for Mayo's dorm room and meals at various restaurants in the Los Angeles area. Johnson provided "Outside the Lines" with the receipts from the purchases. One sales clerk at Men's Land remembers Guillory paying for Mayo's purchase on at least one occasion...."

Doubt it....as now the drag net is being broadened, and the feds are getting involved.
The FBI AND the IRS wanna know where all the money is coming from, where it is going, and who (if anyone) is bothering to pay taxes on any of it.

Now if the goods went to OJ Mayo, and if he was taking clothes, meals, cash, free hotel stays with his girlfriend, and big screen TV's, then surely
he knows that someone has to pay income tax on money and gifts being given to him.
So, where was the guy saying nobody would bother to look into this since OJ clearly didn't do anything wrong??
I suspect OJ won't care too much, since he isn't concerned any more about his college eligibility, and it won't affect him if the team has to forfeit all their wins,
and in a few weeks he will easily be able to pay back the delinquent income taxes and still have a few million $$ left over.
