Standings and stats as on 2/25/10

Playing devil's advocate:

We're comparable to SIU, Creighton, UNI in this respect, OK. But guess what: Since 2005, they've each won the conference tournament. We haven't.

The fact is here that both sides can argue until they're blue in the face because there are stats and trends that favor both sides of whatever argument is going on in here.

Yep when you are Normal, Mediocre, aversge, the mean, medium, mode. Plenty of room to debate on both sides. But is that where we want to be?.

I applaud those fans who are so passionate for BU. That includes those who feel that we are great right now and those who feel we should/could be better!

Probably around the same time they started considering conference tournaments to be postseason appearances. :-o

So just about every team in the country has a postseason appearance every year? :?

I think I am with you Shaunguth on this one.

When it comes to scheduling, teams are allowed something like 29 games. Conference Tourneys count as 1 game on a teams schedule (whether they play 1 game or 5 games). The number changes down to 28 (I think) if a team plays in an In-Season Tourney (like our Las Vegas Tourney this past season) that allows teams to get 2 or 3 extra games but only count as "1".

Therefore - Conference Tourney games are not really considered "post-season" games.

Which also makes sense when I see Jerry Palm's rpi info. He calculates games played in conference tournies (as does the NCAA) toward a teams rpi. Games after that are not included - they are considered "post-season".
