So how bout that...

...Awsome alley-oop, or that double-double from taylor brown, or even Sam Singh on those offensive boards???!! Look, Basketball is not like chess. In chess you create a move, and it happens. In Basketball you create a move but you still have to make the shot. Tonight, we had the plan, we won the mental game, we just didnt make the shots. I like what I saw, the effort was there, the shots just didnt go in. It kills me to see people get so upset after every game, and bash the entire program. Watch the kids play ball, enjoy the game. Be proud that we do have such a solid program such as Bradley in Peoria to be excited about.

Rebounding was good, rest of the game sucked LOL. A couple nice offensive plays but it was like watching a repeat performance before our recent 4 game solid play. But, i'm just ready for the MVC Tourney to start, the rest of the Valley season for Bradley is fairly predictable at this point.

Jason

It may be "predictable", but we will continue to watch, even those games that we deem "predictable". Every game is "predictable", ask vegas. very rarely is it a PK. College basketball is amazing, atleast to me, because of the fact that on any givin day, any team can win, just ask kansas, or texas, or now kentucky . Until I can read the future, Ill watch, or listen to every game, taking every game one at a time, rooting for that BU win.

Rebounding LOOKED good. CU without Lawson isn't much of a rebounding team and they played a matchup zone most of the night and had a hard time finding us to box out.

I disagree. Before the better games you referenced BU played soft, rebounded poorly and played bad D. In last nights game BU played tough, rebounded well, played decent D (it was not as good as last few games), but shot poorly. It didn't remind me of one of those games, even a little. Even the way they failed to score was different-- they didn't crumble with TO after TO... they just didn't hit very makable shots.

What about .500 year after year gets you excited?

Define 'solid program'.

Slight exaggeration- this program has had a winning record every year since 2004-2005.

Slight? Perhaps. However our winning percentage over the course of this regime is in the .500's, our winning percentage the last 3 seasons (this one included), is in the .500's, our conference record over the course of the last four seasons is in the .500's, and below .500 overall during this regime.

I'm with you Monmouth. They played hard, shots did not go in and CU hit a ton of 3s. That happens,we lose and we prepare for the next one. Life goes on! Do I feel better when we win yes but my life does not depend on it.

As I'm sure it is for the rest of the Valley. I'm sure every team has their sights set on the MVC Tourney as that may very well be their only way into the NCAA Tourney.

They played soft in all phases of the game last night (Les said this on the postgame show) and defended poorly. The help defense and rotations were lousy last night (hence all of the wide open 3s for CU) and we jumped at nearly every ball fake that they put up...

I'm with you too! They have been playing hard lately, and despite what some will say that is all I ask, because if they always do that they will usually win just not last night. The negativity of some is unbelievable and has to be unhealthy. I love Bradley winning, but don't depend on it either. Reality is this has been a decent program for 4 years and appears to be building for a next step in the next couple years. Some posters are so negative even to say that a good year next year is a bad thing:-o, which blew me away!! How can it possibly be bad, isn't that what you want?? Even that has a negative spin to it, it is almost funny if it weren't sad.

For those that bash the team after every loss, maybe I should start saying after every win BU should hire JL forever and is the best coach in the world, BU will win 10 straight conference championships, and this team should be ranked number 1 in the country. That's how irrational some sound on the other side when we lose with all the JL and Bradley bashing. It is not life or death, it is A KIDS GAME!!!! Lighten up and enjoy life and this game, it is a lot better for you in the long run.:D

Fair enough, but by your view shouldn't Jim Molinari still be the coach?

I only saw the 2nd half and the two annoucers on the TV feed refuse to give information regarding game flow... did Bradley have any timeouts left at the end of the game?

BTW what lost us this game atleast in the 2nd half as terrible rotation on D and not defending shooters, and the always present missing of free throws, the front end misses by Brown and Roberts were killers.

CU is not better then us but when you leave shooters open over and over they are going to make shots, you cant get lost continually defensively and you MUST make front ends of one and ones.

I really hope we didnt have a timeout left because out execution in the last minute and half was embarassing.

I've been thinking the same thing lately!

Others will tell you that there were other reasons why Molinari was let go that had to do with donations then anything else. I thought he was let go to early, IMO. I liked MO and I thought he represented the school with a ton of class. We are where we are now and I feel the same way about JL.
