SIU's Ryan Hare arrested

I thought Ryan Hare had a pretty good season for a freshman. He played a lot, showed some versatility, etc. I had hoped Bradley would get him out of high school.

Losing him would hurt SIU for sure. Every coach handles stuff differently. Some coaches give guys suspensions that no one in the public knows about.

Do you mean like the ones Kansas players will receive? The phantom suspensions. Hare is starting to show that he is a bit of a troubled young adult and I bet he never fit in the Bradley "mold" type player we like to sign.

That's right.

So do we as fans "deserve" to know: IMO, yes sometimes, but no - not always. And IMO, it should be left at that.

But Bradley has a local newspaper that loves to glorify anything negative about Bradley. But oh - they are just reporting the news. They believe readers want and need to know it. But doesn't bad stuff happen everywhere? Yes. So why not at least mention bad things elsewhere (and glorify it as much as the local U's problems)? Oh... well, that's ISU or UIUC... that isn't the local U and so readers aren't fans of or interested in what goes on in B/N or C/U. Oh, give me a break. Peoria is filled with many Bradley fans... but also many UIUC, ISU and SIU fans. So for the local media to only report on negative issues at the local U but never on some other U's in the area/state that readers are fans of... leads the readers to believe only the local U has bad stuff.

And the local rag wonders why it loses readers and subscribers. Wake up!!!
