Right, Stewart and Abell sound like good ones but they will still be only true freshmen. The four bigs you mention will be a senior, a junior, a juco transfer sophmore and either a redshirt freshman or a sophmore.

You could be right, but assuming true freshmen get significant minutes and the more experienced bigs sit for all but a couple of minutes a game seems a bit of a reach to me right now.

Even if the true freshman get significant minutes we still have to go big. How else do the numbers add up?

We can't "go big" if the bigs can't contribute. And at this point, I would be of the opinion that guys like Abell and Stewart, even as freshman, would be better prepared to give us quality minutes than guys like Sticks, Knezevic, and Davis...

You're right though...it is tough to make the numbers add up...We'll need some good news on Taylor's health and some really good development out of the newcomers and the younger guys on the roster in order to have any semblance of depth anywhere on next year's team...

But that's the future...we need to worry about winning NOW.

Then why the *ell does our Coach in residence continue to recruit bigs who can't contribute? Seems the "lessor" teams BU has played so far have bigs who are better than ours. What's their secret?

I am seriously beginning to think there is a 100% correlation between JL supporters and Cubs fans....

How competitive are those teams overall though? Their bigs may look better because of matchups with BU, but in the long run BU still is better.
