Using that logic, then Altman's a scumbag for taking kids to Oregon that had committed to Creighton and McDermott likewise for stealing that Doug What's-his-name from UNI!
The list of other coaches who have taken players with them to their new jobs is long and illustrious...and include Bruce Pearl, Tom Crean, Bob Huggins, and Kelvin Sampson..so I guess we've got the right title for this topic..

he was caught in last night's broadcast in the loss to Alabama uttering a few foul words on the air...in fact a really profanity-laced tirade in the face of one of his players.....
...calling his freshman, Terrence Jones, a "selfish mother fu****"...

Bruce Pearl is never one to shy away from publicity or controversy..

now he's telling people he ran a clean program at Tennessee when we know 100% for certain that he did not..

..btw - he did land some decent talent at Auburn and sold a lot more tickets even for year-1. His record was 15-20 with a 4-14 SEC record...

"One high-ranking university official recommended Eustachy's contract be terminated"

but then...we kinda knew all this stuff has been going on for years - funny they didn't look into it at Southern Miss..

deja vu all over again....
again- for about the umpteenth time, Larry Eustachy is in trouble for his behavior...
cursing tirades, throwing things and abuse of his own players and staff.
Will they ever fire this nut-case? Why do people keep throwing money at him & hiring him....will it continue until he kills someone?

The coaches didn??™t take the players, the players followed the coaches who recruited them in the first place.

interesting story....just as we have seen so many times...

Larry Eustachy several years ago (2013 !) was warned, disciplined and placed on a ZERO TOLERANCE protocol for his seriously abusive behavior...

and yet time and time again - he violated it and was given more warnings and more "probationary" slaps on the wrist - all the while being allowed to continue being just as abusive as ever...
even tho his behavior CLEARLY VIOLATED "violate terms of Eustachy’s employment."

WHAT THE HEY??? What good is a ZERO TOLERANCE policy if they do NOT stand up and enforce it and constantly give the guy 100% TOLERANCE instead and tolerate his abusive behavior.
The id-iot need to be canned right now but the school is still hesitating because it will cost them $, he has a winning record, and they fear the inevitable lawsuits!! In other words - Eustachy has them by the ba**s and they are giving in to him and his horrible behavior endlessly.

His salary is $985,000 per year, and runs through the 2020-21 season. But it seems Colorado State will try to fire him "for cause" claiming he has violated the "zero tolerance policy he previously received regarding his abusive behavior toward players and staff", which would save the school more than $3 million over the remaining 3 years of the contract. Expect a lawsuit (or threat of a lawsuit) and an eventual settlement.

It is not entirely clear why they were boycotting practice under the new interim head coach. But here is a twist... the interim coach, Steve Barnes, who has worked as an assistant under Larry Eustachy for 22 years of his coaching career, and who was the associate head coach at Colorado State is being described "by an anonymous former Rams athletic department staff member as Eustachy’s “right-hand guy” who “was even worse than Larry (Eustachy)” at most times."
Barnes and Eustachy have been described as extremely similar in terms of their personality and that the duo “coach basically the same”.
Some of the descriptions coming out in this case are really shocking, how terrible Eustachy and Barnes treated people around them as well as the player abuse, and got away with it for many years "out of fear and intimidation".

Barnes' association with Eustachy goes back to Iowa State and even to Utah State over 20 years ago - but even further back than that..they're practically joined at the hip...
they were high school teammates so they've been associated most of their entire lives.

After Eustachy was fired from Iowa State, Barnes was suspended, then later fired after he made threats against the administrators of Iowa State in response to his perceived mistreatment of Larry. He was cited as saying to players & their families "we need to go after the people that got us." - meaning then Athletic Director "Bruce Van De Velde and probably others at the university". LINK
