RUFF

I haven't heard anything other than the official media releases, but since his hip injury involves a muscle tear that occurred Monday, my guess is that DR will be kept out of tomorrow's game to allow for more healing.
 
Nothing in the PJ Star today about Ruff, anyone heard anything new about his playing status today?

I noticed that. In fact there wasn't much about anything in today's article. It could have been written days ago. There is no mention of any of the UIC players, or what is the status of Ruffin, Singh, etc.
 
Any news on how Ruffin is doing?

With back to back games coming up against 2 BCS schools, I would hope that Ruffin is back for those 2 big ones.
 
Ruffin was in uniform tonight, but did not get into the game. The coach said he has been cleared to play, but that he would benefit from a little more rest, so he was not planning to play him tonight unless absolutly necessary. There is a good chance he will play Friday, but Coach Les could do the same thing as tonight and not start him, and decide if he needs him to play.

I'd rest Ruff and nurse him back to 100%... we don't NEED him til 12/3 at Michigan State. :wink:
 
we do need him if we play u of i.........rest him against rutgers if needed b/c they are terrible but i dont think one day is going to do anything b/c we need ruff agianst illinois or else we are not looking good for a W
 
Can you imagine Jim Les' confidence if he goes up to Chicago knowing he has Daniel Ruffin as an ace in the hole.
He doesn't need to use DRuff since then players are doing so well, but can come off the bench if there's any need.
