Reynolds on BU if not NIT....CIT...

Most likely not unless we meet in the semifinals or later.
This makes sense considering the economy. Maybe not as many big names in this tourney, but then again, the BCS pool are not exactly jumping at the CBI either.
Now that it is looking better for a Creighton at-large NCAA bid, the NIT is not completely out of the question, but still overwhelmingly not likely. But you never know, and the fact that we would take an NIT road game over one of these tourneys says a lot about how more relevant the NIT has become. It should be interesting on Sunday!
The CBI will have some games on HDnet, which is a high-def cable channel owned by The Discovery Channel. They will do 4 double headers, plus the 3-game final series. HDnet has a very low viewership, and is not on most cable systems, but it is available on Comcast in Peoria on cable channel 935.--

The CollegeInsider.com postseason tournament will be on FoxCollegeSports cable channels (in Peoria it is Comcast channels 533, 534, & 535), which carried the CBI last year. Their website does not look like it has been updated at all since the initial details of the tournament were announced in January.

I have to disagree. The only big upset so far was Cleveland St over Butler. Joe Lunardi, fwiw, now has Creighton as one of his last four teams in. And if the committee looks at their entire body of work, not just one bad game, I think they deserve to be in the tournament.
Now I do agree that Bradley's chances at the NIT are a big stretch even if Creighton frees up a spot. The Valley probably only gets ISU into the NIT if Creighton goes to the NCAA's, but the door will be open a crack for Bradley if ISU is the only other team from the Valley going to the NIT.

I fully believe Creighton's limbo status has absolutely NOTHING to do with us getting an NIT bid. The NIT is not sniffing around looking to ensure 2 MVC bids no matter what happens. That is NOT the case.

Where is the alure in playing another game against a conference opponent (Evansville?).
Horizon League match ups? Wow, as if we can't get enough of that year in and year out.
I am totally for our guys season continuing but these prospective match-ups in the CIT leave something to be desired.

The NIT is no different than the CBI or CIT. They're all 2nd rate tourneys, one has just been around longer. Personally, I think program-wise the 'prestige' of going to the NIT is outweighed by the benefit of getting more home games for our younger players to develop. Will I take an NIT bid? Sure. We'd get a road game at a good BCS team and probably get stomped. I think there might be more value in getting some more home games and getting EM, DN, TB, and AT more playing time in game situations.

I hate to be the Debbie Downer... but there is NO WAY Bradley gets an NIT bid. It just isn't gonna happen. So let's all get over it and look to what we will be participating in... the CIT or CBI.
I doubt there is more time for AT...why would you play him now if he hasn't earned time all year?

I understand growing players for next year and all if we play in a post-season tourney... but IMO, if we are playing a game, especially a post-season game - ANY post-season game... I hope we PLAY TO WIN!!!

Because 'this year' is over for all intents and purposes. All postseason now is a head start on next year, and if it's viewed any differently then we're not taking advantage of the situation. We threw David Collins a bone last year in the CBI when by all accounts he hadn't 'earned' his time during the real season. I see AT as being in the same situation this year.
I just brought up a hypothetical situation in which Bradley might have had a microscopic chance of getting into the NIT. I agree that their chances of getting a bid are less than 10% at best. And probably WAY under 10%! But you just never know.
Good points. I think the home games are better for developing our team for next year. A road NIT game though would give our team more experience playing in tougher road environment, which may not be so tough depending on how many people a particular road team may draw in this 2nd rate tourney.
However, we will have plenty of shots of learning how to play in hostile environments next year with games at BYU, Iowa St and in the Las Vegas tournament. So the home games this year would probably benefit us a lot more.

Yeah.....us and the other 31 teams that are "likely CBI or College Insider tournament bids".
Personally, I'm looking forward to a home game on Wednesday night!
