Reynolds: Coaching search...

I always liked Craig Neal as a player and he has a decent background. I just can't get over the fact he is hooked up with Steve Alford. On top of that good friends with. Alford rubs me the wrong way more than any one I can think of in coaching. I also don't think he is that great of a coach(Alford).

I like that list, but I would hope there are some other names not on the list.

By the way people said Lusk would probably be lined up for SIU, so if we want him that blockade is gone.
 
Thanks Big Mike. Now that's good investigative journalism compared to what we've seen. This is some really encouraging news with some outstanding candidates. See, the sky's not falling after all. :)

Understatement would be "baby got back!" Is that real? Just unbelievable. Now for people that know me they would say not a chance but that woman would leave me speechless.
 
Two things stuck out to me in that article, one Craig Neal's son is a top 100 recruit in a couple years, that might be nice.

Also Cross said SM has not asked for his release yet....

Agreed. I question how legitimate the list is, but if true its a very nice list. More important though, is who we hire. And I don't think it would be one of them. I think BU is going to end up outsmarting itself with this hire...
 
This list can easily be winnowed down to two people if they have legitimate interest and if we are in their pay range.

Lusk and Terry

Pass on the others on the list!

I'm very encouraged with this list too. It seems like they are going after high major type teams in their search. That said though, let's hope this is not a smoke screen and they end up hiring some no-name from a mediocre low-major type of program!

Seen this also and had to wonder if it was the start of the PJS retracting their story they had earlier in the day about SM asking for his release. Not saying he still won't but hasn't happened yet contrary to what was reported.

only 50 D-I schools draw better than Bradley...
Bradley has intense, loyal fans...and everyone knows BU's fans follow their team even on the road moreso than MOST teams
BU is nearing completion of a campaign that will raise over $100 million for the upgrade of facilities..only about 40-50 schools in the country could compete with that
and BU's fans are the best...we all know that and no argument is even needed....so unless a coach has a top BCS offer, yes, he'd want to come to Bradley...why not......?
ps-- barely a dozen non-BCS schools pay as well as BU for their head coach...and past BU coaches and assistants have gone on to numerous other head coaching positions, even the NBA
