Recruit in Town Today?

Just got back from taking my daughter to the Peoria Airport, and as I was leaving, I saw several BU coaches standing in the airport lobby (Merf, Little Bish, Kyle Vogt). Merf was on his cell phone. I didn't see any luggage or briefcases, so I'm assuming they were there to pick up a recruit.

Those on campus...keep a sharp eye out for an unfamiliar face!! :)

There may be more than 1 recruit in town this weekend. Maybe we'll have some good news by the end of the weekend? :D

Hopefully they are all from Siberia...otherwise no one in their right mind would sign up to play in this disgusting climate.

I was thinking the same thing...good thing is alls they have to do though is wait about an hour or so.

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles..... In my traveling experience, there are
always alternatives! ;)

Yes, but it would not make a good impression on a recruit to ask him to go to the Amtrak station...
Now having a charter flight pick up a recruit...

Am I crazy, or was there a report in this thread on Friday that a 6'7 recruit had been seen on campus? If so, was it removed b/c it was inaccurate? I haven't seen any other mention of a recruit other than Norris visiting this weekend.

Nunn I hope...he's about 6'6 1/2"

Here is what I wrote under the Recruiting forum:

Would Nunn from Moline fit the bill here for our last scholie? IMO, I believe he's the next best thing to Beckham, and from seeing Nunn and not seeing AB play, I feel we'd get a TON of talent in the 6'6" G/F

Besides, if we're not going to recruit and get a big, why not grab the most athletic shooter left on our board..?

I mean really, who else is left that hasn't been snatched up?

Can someone compile that list to be chewed on for the next few days?

In looking at the Hoopmasters lists that Da Coach provided and adding some others that aren't in that top 250, here are the guys that I think are still out there that BU has been linked to at some point in time:

#133 Darius Johnson-Odom - 6'1" Lenoir, NC
#143 LA Pomlee - 6'8" Davenport, IA
#222 Kaylon Williams - 6'4" Cedar Rapids, IA
#224 Isiah Nunn - 6'6" Moline, IL
#235 Stacey Waters - 6'3" Detroit, MI

Mike Burwell - 6'6" South Amboy, NJ
Larry Anderson - 6'5" Winchendon, MA
Darian Norris - 5'11" Las Vegas, NV

Another for the list is Wesley Witherspoon... Though he's eliminated BU from his list (as has LA Pomlee).

Then neither of those two should be on that list...

I was trying to gather a list as to who BU is still in on and hasn't been eliminated from contention...

And maybe some insights as to who everyone likes and why...

my top 2 would be Nunn and Williams, mainly because of their size...if we're gonna go guard, we need some athletic ones that can rebound better than what we have in the past few years

There are others that have not yet been named publically.

I wouldn't be surprised if we land someone nobody knew about.
