"Privileges" taken away

The fact that Bradley is without Warren doesn't irritate me like it does you. But it is a fact. A healthy Warren would have made a significant difference in every game Bradley has played this year.

Speaking of "wasting time and air" on things, do you really think that by posting a million times with the same complaints about this team that you are going to make anything different?

I have essentially been saying the same thing for the past month. Yes, AW is our best returning player and yes, WE started the last three games in which he was healthy. It sounds to me like everyone that continues saying things like "we're a much better team with AW and WE in the lineup" or "AW makes the entire team better" have given up on this season considering WE is out for the season and AW is likely to follow.

On the other hand, I stated Funk is better which as of now is simple fact you can't ignore...

To finish, they won 20 games...including 12 in the conference...yes maybe losing him kept them out of the NCAA tournament, but it didn't make them a 500 or sub-500 team...

I just don't get the constant basis for making excuses for everyone...


Let them decide whether to make excuses or not...


I don't have a problem w/ you personally, but it seems as though these rules only apply to a select few of us, including not applying to the poster who attacked "me"...

I'm tired of excuses too. I don't expect a championship with all of the injuries we've had, but I do expect the team to play hard and play fundamentally sound. Right now, as a whole, this team plays dumb and doesn't look like it cares. Sure, there are some individuals who are putting forth effort, but collectively it doesn't appear that way. Jim gets paid to figure this out. Hopefully he will.

At this point I know we are missing Andruw and I think missing Will is an even bigger factor than AW...

And I don't expect a championship this year regardless of what some may think...

I just expect us to play the right guys, get them to play hard, and finish in the top 4...

Right now, we'll be lucky to stay out of the bottom 4...


But I couldn't agree more w/ your statement.

If anyone feels they have been unfairly attacked by another poster, please PM me or one of the moderators and we'll resolve it. Yes, that is against our rules.

If you want a forum for constant attacks on Bradley, and the team, then the other board would welcome that. This forum is populated by fans who are pro-Bradley and support this team, and many are offended by the personal attacks that some posters use whenever Bradley loses a game. Funny how that disappears when they win.:lol:
We allow posters to be critical of what happens on the floor, but we will not allow unreasonable attacks on the players or coaches.

I shall try to be more civil, but you at least have to admit that one "unnamed" individual on said roster deserves the majority of what he's getting, regardless of how nice an individual he is, which I can say he is that as I've met him quite a few times...

Its like separating business and personal...Personally I enjoy everyone and think they are really great young men and also find the coaches to be great guys, unfortunately the nicest guys don't always finish first as you and I both can probably attest to...


Anyways, I will try to accomodate a bit better to your wishes...;-)

I noticed this more than a few times last night. Our guys on the wing looked like they wanted to pass the ball inside to DC, but they each outwardly appeared to have second thoughts and ended up kicking the ball out to one of our guards.. I cant say that I blame them.:(

Maybe JL will go the route of another JL (Jolette Law) and take away team-issued gear?

One other thing: our defense makes me want to puke. That's all I've got. Good thing I only caught the second half last night.

Please remember they players are trying hard, even if it doesn't yet translate into success. I don't like the results from last night, and nobody does. But they are still just kids. And they do read the stuff we post on these boards. We can be critical of what goes on and still be supportive of the team.
 
I have not seen every game, but there are two noticeable facts. This is a very poor shooting team (especially on free throws) and they are smaller in size than their opposition. I do not expect much the rest of this season and predict we will finish 7 to 9 in the Valley. I am more optimistic for next year.

One thing I know for sure....these players have the talent it takes...


All we really ask as fans is that they show some intensity and hustle all the time...


Hustle never slumps.

Irritate, try very disappointed:!: But I am not going to use it as an excuse or keep dwelling on it like you. I think, I said (if you reread my post that we all know we would be a better team with both AW and WE. I forgot about YOU when I said No-One would really Know, how much better. Sorry:badgrin: Why don't you do us all a big favor and help us discuss/look for solutions instead of your same old crying towel excuses. One more time, PLEASE.:roll:

I think that is NO WHERE near being correct, truthfull and is just some more of your BS towards me. As for making anything different, lets use your way of thinking, don't discuss the teams problems, everything is good, we don't need to change anything, we don't need to find solutions to bad D, poor 3 point shooting, poor free throw shooting, and winning games. Just keep beating a dead dog excuse of we have two injured players and before you know the season will be over. I don't think JL has that in mind:!: You have us on a death march now and I don't think that is any where close. Things are upside down right now but we have to and I think we will get it right side up and still contend for the MVC title.

I think one of the privileges JL should take away from the players is the "privilege" of reading this board. They have enough to worry about and work on and don't need to be exposed to all this negativity. (I place myself among the guilty.) Thank God for DC and other voices of reason. Go Braves.

Agreed, I distinctly remember at least three loose balls that Butler players beat us to, that we should have had but every Brave near the ball thought someone else would go after it. This usually resulted in another possession and usually a three pointer for Butler. That doesn't include a few offensive rebounds they beat us to.

The one time I remember seeing hustle from our side is when TW ran down that loose ball, split two defenders and scored on the breakaway.

Obviously we've never played "kill the man w/ the ball"...

The point is not to think others are going to get the ball...


I'd rather 3 of our guys fight for a rebound and lose it out of bounds than everyone stand around assuming someone goes after a loose ball, no one does, and the other team has an easy putback...


I don't ask much, I just don't want to see players out there that look like they'd rather be somewhere else or players wandering like they're lost...


Hustle and Intensity = RESPECT
