Practice

Does anyone know if BU is still practicing or will resume practicing, with potential hopes of making the CBI?

I think that raises an interesting question. If you were a coach and on the bubble of the NIT (or this year the CBI), what would you do after being knocked out of the conference tourney? Would it depend on how early the conf. tournament is before selection Sunday? For instance, in Les's case, the team was knocked out a full 9 days before tournaments are picked. Do you give the guys the weekend off, a week, just a day? Personally, I would think as a player it would be hard to have the focus and intensity that should be brought to practice not knowing if another game were to be played. Just interested to hear your thoughts, and was curious what Les was/is doing with this year's team.

If there is deemed to be a chance of participating in a postseason tournament, then they can continue to practice. I don't know how that decision is verified. Maybe they need the OK from the NCAA. But I believe BU is a possibility for the CBI, so they can continue organized practices.

I can confirm that they did indeed practice today in Haussler as I got to view some of the practice when I was playing on another court. Lots and lots of offense and shooting is what I saw, not much defensive work though.

I have class with Ruffin and Salley and for the 1st time all year Ruffin came last Tuesday, so I think they may have limited practice or maybe off till they here what the situation is.

Nice AI pull Ice...but I'm partial to Jim Mora's rant...which is also relevant in this thread:

"What's that? Uh...Playoffs? Don't talk about...playoffs? You kidding me? Playoffs?

And the infamous Mora-Iverson conversation...

classic! I like how Mora would pretty much tell it like it is.. this one is a good compliation.
