Unfortunately I will not be attending this year. I am disappointed that they didn't have it on a Friday like they did last year, I would be able to make it if that was the case. Give the boys a good send-off!

I just got my tickets in the mail.

One thing that has changed-- the tickets list the starting time for the dinner as 7:00 pm.

But the bar is open at 5:30, and dinner is now scheduled to start at 6:00pm. So don't be late!

As usual, the banquet, the crowd, the whole experience were all great.
So nice to spend some time with the team once more.
I over heard a few nice things that were being spilled "off the record" here and there, and will go into more details when I have more time.
 
Awesome time at my first post-season banquet. Was seated with Bob Carney (of free-throw shooting fame) and the couple who created the new book about the Braves. Got to overhear quite a few great stories about the creation of the book.

Bob Carney Award - JC
POY - Ruff AND Will
Braves Club Award - JJ

Also got to chat with quite a few players as we did the autograph rounds. ZA's hoping to get drafted with overseas play as his backup. Also met AW's little brother, who is a high school freshman carbon copy of his big brother.

All in all, stellar night with stellar company!
 
It was a great night at the banquet! Talked to SJ, DR and JF! JF said he didn't know it was gonna be that hard to sit out for a whole year......I told him I had him penciled in as a starter next year and he smiled! 8)
 
I had a great time.

Saw Braveman, the "Chairmen of the Board" and BigMike. Brief exchange with DC and T, but BigMike was like freakin Harry Whodini... I started to see this smoke begin to form and -poof-, BM was gone. :lol:
 
I was at the table adjoining Dr. Broski and we were the first table to go through chow line, but when we came back, the Prez and trustees hadn't gone yet!

Oh well... good meal, good times! Sat with former Brave Chad Kleine at the WTVP table...
 
I'm pretty sure its the PREseason banquet that has the both the guys and gals at it.

The POST season banquets have been seperate for atleast the last two years. The women's banquet last year was at the Lariat Club and the men's was at the Civic Center.
 
MM.........I did not see you last night? When did you talk to DC and T? :-o I hurried to get into line to get another copy of the book and walk in the rain.....you see we had to park @ campustown! :x

I sat over past JJ (about 1/2 doz seats past him and away from your table). I exchanged hellos with DC and T right after you headed to the book line... I was tracking down JJ for a pic and then heading over to ZA, DR and AW.

I parked at the Fieldhouse, but it wasn't raining when I left.

Maybe I will see ya at the Red/White next year.
