Postgame Thread BU-74 MSU-56

Finally!!!!!!! Good solid game, more turnovers than I'd like, but we actually held the lead, made most of the free throws, the guards rebounded well, shot over 50%. Great effort, way to finally put one away.:biggrin:
 
My observations:

1. This does have the ability a good team and I think they will finish strong like I always thought they would. The schedule after Southern starts to look a little favorable for a run, but you still have to play the games. I think our strong scheduled has prepared us well for the season's end.

2. TB was a team player today, very nice to see and he played very well. AW didn't have a great game, but I don't mind him forcing 1 or 2 extra shots a game as he is our best shooter and scorer.

3. SM is the undisputed point guard on this team IMO, EM trys to dribble too much and turns the ball over and cannot shoot right now. EM is a nice change of pace point, and he does have potential, but not right now. I really think DSE should be the main back up point for now as he is playing well, with EM getting some minutes to change the pace and give SM some rest. To add to this I did like EM's contributions tonight and I think this is a good role for him the rest of the year, to come up set up a couple guys and score a couple baskets.

4. WE is developing and getting better and better, showing JL can develop big men, if he gets a little tougher and goes up and dunks some balls, he good be really good. SS is playing better, he just has to finish wide open shots.

5. When CR comes to play, Bradley usually plays well. He might be not stand out as much as some players, but we need everything he does and he is such a good all around player for all the little things that go unnoticed.

Finally this team seems to be over the mental hump, now let's show them who the real Bradley Braves are the rest of the year!! I loved the effort tonight, and I am pumped up to see it from now on! Go Braves!!!
 
Congrats to the Braves. Well done today.

Hopefully all the distractions have been put to bed and this will be the first of many more complete games by the players to finish up this season!

Wow....that was fun! Close to a full 40 minutes today! DSE has a bright future and
Chris Roberts had a monster game! :D
 
This was a well played game for 40 minutes with an emphasis on solid defense, rebounding and high percentage shots. If we play like this at SIU, look for us to steal a win at a very difficult place to win.
 
good start and strong finish....we showed we can play with anyone in the league..
I even noted one (pretty well known) Missouri State fan get up and leave with about 5 minutes to go...so that's a pretty impressive beat down!

Congrats to the Braves -
Will Egolf is playing as well as any 5 in the Valley
our defense is strong, Dyricus and Jake are improving, and there isn't any erason we can't make a run for the Valley now....


just about everyone will be back next year too......
and we will have Dodie be back as well...
 
Question.....Did JL throw the water bottle after the SS missed bunny? :confused: The T' was on the BU bench and JL took the water bottle ba ck from the ref!
