A very nice win for BU! Takes us to 5-1 in the Valley. InSU is a tough place to win simply because it is usually a tomb in there. They hardly ever have a crowd to speak of and there is no energy in there, but BU took care of business and came out with a nice win!

Wow, amazing free throw shooting tonight, haha. We did have good ball movement early and missed some good looks. D was great, but left people wide open. They didn't make us pay.

Nice road W... i listened to most of it... you weathered a storm with about 4 mins left... and went on a storm of your own to close it out

Take the road wins whenever you can get them. I can't think of the last time BU started 3-0 on the road in league play. Whenever it was, I guarantee it was a good year.

7 assists, 0 turnovers for McCain tonight. That's more like it Senator!

Also, BU only allows 1 FG in the last 8 minutes of the game, and that FG was a meaningless 3 in the waning moments of the game. Defense wins championships!

Winning with defense for sure! The road schedule may really be good for us, like has been said beating the teams that are on the bottom of the Valley, and with every game I feel like our new guys get more chances to get better, and we will need all hands on deck on the road against isu, Creighton, maybe UNI if they keep it up.....

We'll take the W and run with it:biggrin:
Well I owe this to the Big's, much better game, BUT we need more:!:
Great game by both SM,DD and EM:!:
FT's 13-24 and 3's 2-13 :?: We won't win games shooting like this against good teams:!:

While the execution wasn't always there, I think the effort was there for forty minutes. I loved the defensive gameplan of overplaying the passing lanes. It's not something you can do very often, but it was possible against a passive team without it's best offensive option.

I think I read that the '93-'94 Braves won their first three road conference games.

The bottom line is we aren't going to beat the teams like isu, CU, DU, UNI, and EU if we shoot like we have in the past 2 games. We had things rolling the first 4 games with shooting percentages and now these last two games have been disgustingly bad like in the nonconference schedule. We need to make 2 or 3 more 3pointers a game and need to have 75% as a team from the free throw line at least. Otherwise, it's going to get ugly.

I think BU played to the level of the competition; this is too easy to do. I felt like I was watching a cat playing with a mouse for fun. In the end the cat killed the mouse. Thank God! :)

We are 5-1, we haven't been able to say that in a long time

Yes we are so it's nice to enjoy it now. In a way I think this schedule has turned out in an interesting way for us. It gives us time to hopefully improve with the things we absolutely need to improve on, but it also has shaped up to give us definitely a much harder schedule in the 2nd half than the 1st half.

We now have 12 games left in the conference season and 8 of those are against the top half of the valley. That's tough.

Edit: Actually in our last 8 games of the conference season there is only ONE lower half team that we play and that is MoSt. So we'll see how good this team really is when those games come around.
