Player Outlook: Will Egolf

Good job...and I hope Will has kept working on his 3-pt shooting that was excellent in high school, while never looking good in his minutes at BU.

I like the idea of WE and SS playing side by side. Having this kind of inside dual would open a lot of things for the guards. I would think his play will have to start slow, after all it has not even been a year from when the injury
accrued. It will be good to have him back.

Will is going to be a big key to the braves success this year, his playing well is going to keep alot of pressure off of Prosser. I really hope to see both of them in the game at the same time. Any thoughts there, does anyone think they will play together or share minutes? Hopefully he learned some leadership while injured and can help out in that area. As long as his injury heals and he continues to improve, he will be a match up problem for most of the valley teams.

This will not happen unless AT or JP can truly fill in at the 5.

Well, I can not disagree with that. Its time for that 6'11 skinny kid to to show up and play! As for JP, lets not aspect to much and put to much pressure on the kid this year! I think we will see him play the 4 and 5 . And to said WE is going to play the 5, 20 or more mins. a game and take all the bangging and pushing the big guys around with that rehap. knee, well I am not sure about that! (I'm no doctor) I'll just be happy with having him back and helping this team with what he can. And don't forget TB, so we are in better shape as far as size and depth at the 4 and 5 since the Sweet 16 run.
One thing we know from the past 3 seasons is we cannot and have not finished higher than 4th in the MVC or been back to the big dance with the 4 guard or small line up! I look for Jimmy to go bigger this year with the bigs we have and if that means playing WE and SS at the same time, thats alright with me.

OoB, you're the best:!: Keep up the good work. If there was a BradleyFans top ten list you'd be on it in my book. You have great insight. I know you get some posts deleted once in a while, but don't we all. I thank the Moderators for leaving most of our about to be deleted posts up for about a day so they can be seen by some of us before the hammer falls. Again, I always look forward to reading your posts, keep them coming and go Braves:!:

B4L - I had a smile on my face too - that was one of OoB's best posts!

JP responds well to pressure and I believe he will do very well this coming season...

T, you know exactly what I meant and where I am going with to much pressure! There is pressure, then there is added pressure! There are some who already have the kid, as this team's savior and MVC freshman of the year! Not that I am hoping they are wrong but what's that all about? Theres small high school basketball and Div 1 college! The jump is big! The jump even gets bigger when you are expected to be something your are not right away! Then not given time to learn and grow into what so many suspect. If JP is ready to play I am sure JL will have him in there but I am equally sure JL and staff will not put added pressure on the kid!
I believe as you do that he will do very well, as I believe JL and staff will do their very best to see to it!

Here's the good news about Will Egolf. In my 2009-2010 season on NCAA March Madness 09 for PS2, Egolf explodes for 18ppg and 6rpg. He shoots 68% from the field and 41% on 3-pointers. He is 1st team all conference and runner-up for POY (which is won by Sammy with 16ppg/11apg). He leads Bradley to a 31-8 record good for 1st in the Valley, then a National Championship victory vs Tennessee (sorry Tornado).

The bad news: he declares for the NBA draft.

Will also says that they are practicing under the FIBA rules-

"International FIBA regulations allow a ball that hits the rim to be touched, swatted, grabbed" << ahhh Ima be all OVER Brazil's Rims!!"

It sounds like Will is planning on playing! That's great news!
