Peoria Rivermen vs Houston Aeros Round 1 Calder Cup Playoffs

Many of us Bradley fans are more than just Bradley fans, we are proud Peoria fans! The Rivermen have made it too the Calder Cup Playoffs again, for the third consecutive time, the Rivermen will play the Aeros, and could make a run in the playoffs! I don't work for the Rivermen or anything haha but I think it might be a good thing to do with the family or your buddy's to come out and watch a game! Heres the banner..

lol they didnt make the playoffs last year.

Nor did they the year before that. I worked as an intern over Christmas break in 2007-2008 and they didnt make the playoffs that year either.

Peoria went 4-1-1 against Houston this season, so it should be a really good series. Im just upset that the games in Peoria dont fall on at least one of the dates that Im home for Easter.

Haha! You guys are very correct! Very misleading title when it says on the website that it is the "third straight playoff meeting with the aeros" or whatever it says haha I should be more careful! Regardless, playoff hockey is in peoria!

Yeah, its because in Peoria's AHL era, the only team they have played in the playoffs has been Houston lol.

Rivs dropped game 1 4-1 in Houston.

Game 2 is underway and the Rivs are up 2-1.

there was an interesting article on pjstar.com about hydrating for the team and how playing in Houston is always a battle with the humidity and the conditions. How the ice gets affected and how the equipment staff and athletic training staff have to adapt were very interesting points of view.

After 2 periods its tied 2-2 in Houston. The Rivermen really need to come back to Peoria with one win in hand.
