Game just ended...and yes, I know its off-topic but I figure some might be interested...

Washington High and Peoria Richwoods High play in a semi at 6:30 tonight...

Most had hoped for a Richwoods v Limestone final, but alas, Moline comes in and pulls off the upset.

well I consider top HS basketball with recruits that we are likely following as close enough to include on a college basketball forum...so go right ahead.
Does Moline have a lot of size, as I figured that's what Limestone would be vulnerable to, as they don't go very tall?

I myself am actually interested in hearing more about what everyone thinks will happen w/ former Moline and current prep school player Isaiah Nunn...

Moline is now 9-1 and they play great team ball...

Here is the current bracket on the winners side for tonight:

Championship Bracket Semifinals

Washington vs. Richwoods 6:30 PM

Freeport vs. Moline 8:00 PM

Thanks for posting this!

My secretary has been talking and bragging about Limestone non-stop all day, and about how they will roll Moline. Her husband is off today, but wasn't planning to go to the game because he was so sure they would win. Even though I would rather a local team beat a team from out of the area, it is just a tad satisfying that she will be put in her place once I deliver this news

Moline does have two big kids,
6-5 senior Jordan Townsend and 6-5 junior Mike Wismer.

Nunn is a 5th year senior at prep school (The Patterson School, NC)
However, I cannot actually confirm he is playing for them, as all the reports of their games thus far mention numerous other players and do not mention Nunn.
Patterson has both an "A" and a "B" team.
Their A team has already played 20 games, and is 20-0

Their B team is 2-6.

The Patterson School has 6 or 7 other kids who are all getting top DI interest, so just maybe Nunn is NOT playing?

Here's an article I found...

ESPN.COM Thursday, October 16, 2008

LENOIR, N.C.-- In the fourth annual Battle of the Blue Ridge, matching two national prep basketball powers, Oak Hill Academy, Mouth of Wilson, Va., and locally-based Patterson School Prep, each won a hard-fought 20 minutes segment

The third period was 20 minutes running clock, and was played primarily by the reserves for each team. Patterson School, led by high-flying senior wing Isaiah Nunn (Peoria, Ill.) with nine points, beat Oak Hill 23-19. Sharpshooting guard Jordan Gallagher (Chapel Hill, N.C.) had nine points for Oak Hill.

Your right SLB, Moline is a very good team and very well coached. I know because Moline's coach (Ryan Webber) is my nephew. He is from Galesburg and a ex Silver Steak player. His bother-in-law Mike Miller (sister's husband) is head basketball coach at Rockford. He coached Ryan and he was head coach at Galesburg High the year they got 2nd in the state (with a player named Joey Range) here in Peoria. I can't remember who beat them but their starr player went on to play a Illinois. Sorry just can't remember. Mike, also after leaving Galesburg joined Stalling coaching staff at Vanderbelt for two years. But this is Ryan's first year at Moline after two good years at Byran High, where he changed that program around and had two winning seasons. He's young but he knows how to work with the kids and coach them.

Washington (8-2) beat last year's champion at the Pekin Tournament, Chicago Mt. Carmel, then upset #2 seed Richwoods to advance to the title game against Moline (11-1)-
