Offense

There was a coach for the Tampa Bay NFL team, John McKay, in the 70's who was asked about his teams offensive execution. McKay said, "I'm in favor of it".

I may disagree with you a lot of times but this time I agree with you 100%. There is not a shooter on this team.

but the problem goes way deeper than that..
did you see the end of the first overtime...

the score was 58-58 with Missouri State stalling out most of the final 37 seconds, then launching an airball..
The refs determined that it was a shot-clock violation so we got the ball back with just under 2 sec.
Even tho we had time for a play (remember how many times Hersey & JL teamed up for last second plays?)
we got nothing out of it - in fact we didn't even get the ball into the hands of anyone to shoot.

Also on several occasions even after a timeout - we would inbound the ball and either flub it or back it out to halfcourt then launch a poor shot.
Has this team NEVER practiced game-ending situations or plays??

Do they NOT have some well rehearsed, well-practiced play that can at least get us a decent shot with a couple seconds on the clock?
Guess not. Even high school teams have numerous such plays and usually don't even need a timeout - the coach just calls out the play's name and our guys are the only ones who know that the call is.
