No Postseason Banquet

No Post Season Banquet

No Post Season Banquet

Bad idea!---It puts us in the position of going against an Athletic Dept. decision. We should support the AD in these kind of decisions and not turn a great message board into a "rump" group of posters.

Come on guys---The season is over---Lets move on.

Hi Wizard

What the heck is a "rump" group of posters????

I personally consider myself more of a "gut" kind of poster vs a "rump" poster..:lol:

Wouldn't a simple, "Don't think this is a good idea", reply been sufficient?

FWIW - If a post season fan get together at the "Fieldhouse' where players/coaches were invited to attend if they were interested would irritate the AD and his Athletic Dept at BU, I fear the MBB program at BU is in much worse shape than I thought. The new AD has much more important things to worry about than BradleyFans.com...a group that supports BU MBB more than any other group in the BU Kingdom!

Or it can just be a post-season get together... and not invite the team... or someone could just drop a hint to the AD in case they want to say Hi to some loyal fans...

I'm sure if there was a BradleyFans get-together at the Fieldhouse that a lot of people would show...

Plus, maybe some of you would play nice after meeting each other ;)

Ariz. BU Fan---I hope I didn't offend your sensibilities by suggesting that this message board should not hold its own post season banquet in opposition to what the AD has decided.

At the same time, an informal board get-together with the team invited sounds good to me and I would probably attend.

FYI, a "rump" group is a small dissident group of people who oppose the decision or policy of an established authority or organization.

Don"t forget to invite me!

That, or it would look something like this.........

I think it is an incredibly "small town" idea to even consider inviting the team/staff to a gathering of message board posters. Bush league.

I have to disagree 100% to say that setting up a fan event and inviting the team is bush league. I'd take small town but what's wrong with small town mentality when it comes to what a community should be? Showing support and getting people together is a good thing! People in large town sometimes forget what a community should be!
