NIT Round 1 - Bradley 74 Loyola 62

Bradley would have gotten an invite regardless but maybe not a home game.

It also needs to be pointed out that only 3 midmajors (BU, Indiana State, Princeton) got home games. The other 13 home games went to power conference schools.

These teams turned down NIT bids-
St John’s
Pitt
Oklahoma
Memphis
Mississippi
Indiana
Syracuse

And Tom Crean blasted them on the NIT selection show. I am glad he did

I think those schools declining could send a poor message to recruits. It basically says, no post-season for you if we don't make the field of 64, screw the players even if they want to keep playing a game or two. Really could be hard to take if a player is a senior and wanted a chance to keep playing etc.

I agree! It should be about the players. Not the sensitive backbones of the coaches and schools

Agree, the games are about the players and if your team wants to play then the coaches should have let them.

I just bought my tickets online for Wednesday's game. The price was very reasonable. Lower bowl tickets on the side court are just $20 each.
BTW, I know a number of season ticket holders who will be out of town this week. Some schools have their spring break and families are taking vacations and won't be able to go. So I anticipate there will be a lot of good lower bowl seats available for those who are not season ticket holders when general sales start Tuesday and Wednesday.

I got mine, just talked to somebody and he bought tickets in the upper bowl for $10 which is a good deal . Bradley does not control the price yet I would think they would be promoting these prices as being really reasonable. I wonder if students get a better deal?

Assuming that digital tickets will appear in our BU ticket master account after tonight's release to the general public? I'm a season ticket holder and purchased last night but tickets have not shown up yet. I used paper tickets all season just because it's easier when bringing clients out.

I purchased my tickets this morning and they are now in my BU Ticketmaster account. So check again. They should be there. The ticket office is open all day tomorrow and Wednesday until before the game, so they can help if you don't get them. 309-677-2625

Mine just appeared also.

How’s everybody’s health for this week? I just don’t wanna hear after a poor effort that it turns out so-n-so is dealing with something like a hip pointer and that’s why the performance coulda been lacking.

Connor Hickman's left ankle is still not quite 100%, but he has played really well despite the injury. He'll get adequate rest when the season is over and be OK. Not hearing anything about injuries otherwise.

I called the Bradley ticket office today and said I didn't want to purchase over the internet. So I'm calling tommorrow Tuesday and will buy 2 higher bowl tickets at only 10$ each. Last year for the Drake game, I payed 28 for upper bowl! So these ticket prices are fantastic!!! I also have a niece attending Bradley now and with her boyfriend, our group will have 4 people. My niece and boyfriend get to go for FREE as BU students! They even said I could park free in the student parking lot!!! I'm really excited for this game!!!! So fun to see our Braves in a very good tournament! I hope the BU students come out and cheer!!! I hope the Atmosphere at Carver will be as exciting as when we played Drake last year! My wife said that was the most exciting energetic atmosphere she ever experienced at a sporting event!

A fun bulletin board item for the team:

CBS Sports shows that 92% of money line (win or loss, not the spread) betters are picking Loyola to win.

BU was a 4.5 point favorite to start but heavy betting on Loyola against the spread has dropped the line to 4.

Do with this information as you wish.

As far as tickets: I have "white area" season tickets and got those. BUT the wife wants to go and I was able to get lower bowl (section 104, row 12) for only 20 dollars each (before fees). Still some pretty good tickets available.

I want to come to the game, trying to get out of work early tomorrow . The 6pm start is tough for those of us around Chicago.
