Bradley plays Sunday, Dec. 20, at 1:00 pm at Iowa State at the Hilton Coliseum, in Ames, Iowa. This is the third game of a 3-game series between Bradley and Iowa State over the past 4 seasons (there was no game last year). Bradley won the first game in Des Moines 76-66 on 12/16/06 . Bradley also won the second game on 11/14/07 at Carver Arena 65-56.

Bradley is now 5-4, and Iowa State is 7-3. Iowa State last played on Dec. 11 when they beat Iowa 81-71. The game against Bradley is their next game after a 9 day layoff.

The game is televised by Mediacom in Iowa, and some areas in Illinois may be able to see the game, but it doesn't appear that Comcast in Peoria will carry the game. Does anyone know for sure?
The game is also available on ESPN360.

They have started the same starting lineup for all 10 games.
They are a good shooting team that will be hard to beat.--

Very tough game to win! It seems like Bradley usually plays up to their competition just like they play down to it though so I expect a good game. This is a must win game, not for at-large purposes, but just to build some confidence and pride heading into conference season! At this point we would need to go probably 15-3 in conference with a BB win and this win as well to be even back in the conversation for at-large at 22-7 heading into the conference tourney. That should be out of the players minds completely now, until they reach such a point. Play for pride now! I believe we have hit the bottom, and I have a good feeling we will start rising back up to the top and at least come out hard for this game! I won't predict a win, but after being extremely frustrated last night, I woke up having a good feeling about this game for some reason...

I am also excited to get to watch a good stream on ESPN 360 instead of the normal blurry picture! Thanks for the info DC.

I get my cable from Mediacom out of the Quad Cities. The game currently does NOT show up in my menu on Sunday. Either I don't get it - or the menu doesn't accurately show that far out.

I do have ESPN360.

But I usually prefer to listen to Snell on the radio. ;)

This would be a nice game to win. Even with the Loyola loss, a win against Iowa St. would make our OOC record look more respectable. :)

No can do. We'd have to beat someone in the top 10 rankings to undo the loss to Loyola. Western Carolina is good, so we can swallow that. But Loyola is a steaming pile of

One of Iowa State's top players may not play Sunday-
http://blogs.desmoinesregister.com/...urned-home-status-for-sunday-is-questionable/

Iowa State super sub LaRon Dendy??™s status for Sunday??™s 1 p.m. men??™s basketball game against Bradley at Hilton Coliseum is uncertain, said Mike Green, the Cyclones??™ men??™s basketball media relations contact.
Green said the junior from Greenville, S.C., returned home Thursday to ???take care of personal family issues.???
Green didn??™t know if Dendy would be back in time for the game.
Dendy, who completed semester exams before leaving, averages 6.4 points in an average of 12.2 minutes a game.

Lets hope the Braves bring their "A" game vs ISU Sunday. We have seen they can rise to the occassion and it would be nice to win vs a Big 10 team and a Big 12 team in the same year. Anyone know the last time this has happened?

If you can't find a BU game televised you can always take a look at Channelsurfing.net. I have watched a couple BU games being streamed on this web site this season (and its free)..Not all the games are streamed, but it is always worth a look:

http://www.channelsurfing.net/

The only tricky thing about this web site is when scrolling down their menu of television shows they are streaming, they are listed in order of starting time in the Eastern Time Zone...For example, a BU 7:00pm game telecast in the mid west would be listed on the channelsurfing program index as starting at 8:00pm

McDermott said at a luncheon yesterday that Dendy was expected back last night. Jamie Vanderbeeken is still struggling with an injury and Diante Garrett tweaked an ankle last week, but for the most part I expect ISU to be close to 100%.

Sure wish Dodie was going to be playing.

Dendy is having a tough year....he's dealt with a couple injuries, now some apparent family problems...although........we'll probably have to wait to see if he's available or not Sunday, as there are rumors both ways......

But - there are numerous people on the Iowa State message boards suggesting that there might be more to this.......and based even on some of Dendy's comments on his "social networking" site, he is apparently already saying or suggesting he's gone for good....

First....so many players have been lost at Iowa State, that this possibility has to come up.
When healthy, Dendy would be at least one of the 5-6 best players Iowa State has so he surely has a shot at being a 6th man.
(one poster quoted Dendy in an interview saying he thinks he needs to be on the court more).

BUT--- Dendy hasn't been getting much playing time...
given Iowa State has had a quite a few blowouts, Dendy is still getting only 12 mpg and is 10th on the team in minutes played....even tho he's healthy now

then Dendy already has a history of changes.....he is one of those really well-travelled kids, who might have always been a bit overrated because of his size and athleticism, and who may have aimed a bit too high ...
He was ranked inside Top 50 nationally in HS (#37) and verballed to Clemson over offers from UCN, Wake, Georgia Tech, etc...
He had already been at two different high schools by the time he finished his sophomore year and verballed.....then he left his South Carolina high school and went to prep school. (Hargrave).
He lasted about a minute there and didn't like the discipline of a military school, so he transferred to IMG in Florida, then left there as well and transferred back to yet a 5th high school in South Carolina.

but..Dendy's travels were just beginning....
In November of his senior season, he left Greer HS (SC) and went to Hope Christian in Kings Mountain, N.C. (6th high school, now)..still verbally committed to Clemson......but in spring of 2007, he reneged his verbal to Clemson and reopened his recruitment...with even Illinois and John Calipari's Memphis going after him.

Then he announced he was going to sit out his senior season and not play basketball, and concentrate on academics. (this is generally a code word for "he was academically ineligible").
In the summer of 2007 his AAU play was so excellent that he was selected to go to France and play on "Team USA Elite".
Then he ended up at Indian Hill junior college with Dwight Buycks (averaging only 6.5 ppg/3.8 rpg/52% on FT as a soph), and fully expected to get a lot of playing time when he re-committed to Iowa State - BUT---
Craig Brackins back-tracked on his decision to go in the NBA draft last June, so his return to Iowa State pushed Dendy back down the charts.

So now Dendy is getting only sparse playing time on his 8th team in the past 5 years (not counting AAU & USA Elite).
His last outing was maybe his best yet as he hit 4 of 5 in just 13 min....

ISU has had quite a few blowouts tornado, but Dendy played in only one of them. Due o his injury, he has played only against Idaho State, St Louis, UNI, Cal and Iowa. In the St Louis game, he was playing quite well and tweaked his injury again after playing only 8 minutes. With that said, he is Brackins backup right now and he is going to struggle to get a ton more minutes but 18-20 minutes per game if he gets healthy will be likely by season's end. Next year, 35 minutes a game is highly likely as ISU will lose Brackins and likely Gilstrap and Dendy knows it.

Dendy might have sixth man type talent but he has not shown it quite yet. He had some great exhibition games including a couple double digit rebound games I believe, but has struggled in the regular season games thus far. But ISU returns our starting power forward in Brackins who will get 35 minutes, our starting center in Hamilton and our backup center in Jamie Vanderbeeken. If Dendy is not on top of his game yet, no reason to give him a ton of minutes until he is more in the flow. His minutes will grow as he season continues.

He is recently married and expecting a child. That is tough for a young man when he wife is 1000s of miles away. I suspect he had some family issues to deal with and is back in Ames as I type.

Two seasons ago. Bradley beat Iowa and Iowa State in a nine day span.
