New uniforms

Was thinking the same thing while drooling over our new red ones.
Agreed with whoever suggested t-shirts to match

I know the light blue outline that is very retro is in again now, but I don't love that. I love the throwbacks all except that light blue, which I wish was black. I mocked up a few jerseys last year using Underarmour's site, and did so again now. They are attached, including a couple of black ones with the script. I think adding some black or gray accents in our regular jerseys is a great idea, as I have mentioned many times.

I was thinking about the conversations centering around engaging young fans on this board. What if Bradley did a Peoria area jersey design contest using Underarmour's site every year for one alternate jersey that would be used at some point during the year. It could be open to kids up to 18 and whomever wins the contest would get a free jersey and their homeroom class would get free tickets to a game where Bradley would wear them (20-30 kids). This might make lifelong fans out of some kids in the area, and engage them in the product. They could even be introduced pregame, and the players could vote on and announce the winner on social media. There could be a vote on social media too to narrow it down to a couple. Kids love jerseys and such things. I don't know how feasible this is with tickets and jersey ordering (each year's contest might have to be for the following year), but I think it would be a good idea if so. The site is available for anyone to mess around with: https://underarmourteamuniforms.com/builder

These throwbacks from Ohio State a couple years ago could be a nice model for Bradley in the future too (they are Nike not Underarmour). Classic and clean, but modernized a little. Could do a black one like I posted above with this look too. Very similar.

A few years ago we had a thread about alternate uniforms. Those red Ohio State throwbacks were among some examples I cited that Bradley should consider, and now in retrospect, I think the Bradley throwbacks look very similar.-

Are we using these tonight our our normal road jerseys?

There has been speculation that Bradley might wear the new red throwback uniforms tonight, but nothing has been confirmed.
I tend to think OhRotanes may be right, that they might save them for the big Red Out game Sunday.

But, Dave Eminian, in his column posted yesterday afternoon, said this-
The Braves have declared the regular-season finale against Drake, a national TV game in Carver Arena on Feb. 26, as a red-out theme for their fans. The team has introduced a red version of throwback script uniforms, which seems targeted for that game. It is possible the Braves will debut those uniforms at Valpo on Wednesday.

Throwback script jersey replicas are now for sale per email from Bradley Athletics.

From the pictures these don't seem to be official under armour as I don't see the logo on there but still very cool and not badly priced either.

Based on the practice uniforms, and the uniforms being offered for sale at Bids for Braves, I am guessing these uniforms will be our new standard set. It also looks like we are getting a new uniform this year based on the mystery package.

I hope it’s a black or gray version of the throwbacks. I love the way the shirt looks, and the practice jerseys give an bidea of what the actual thing might look like.

The practice unis look tight I must say! I love the black. Not wild about gray, but if there is enough red in it, and some of that baby-ish blue, could be nice.

Everyone does black anymore, I wish we could do something different.

I agree, I'm not a fan of these uniforms at all. Of course, I don't really care as long as they're practice uniforms and if the players like them. Call me old fashioned but I will always think of Bradley as red & white and prefer that look for gameday uniforms. I would be fine with the occasional "one-off" special/promotional uniform once or twice a year though.

I just think plain red and white looks boring. I like the mid to late 2000s look where we at least had black accents on it even if not always a full black jersey. Compare the two looks below, both block style names and numbers. It makes the team name and numbers pop a little more to not just be plain white. I’d settle for gray as it is an official team color too.

I agree with you BUfan.
