New player pictures

Hadn't seen this posted...sorry if if has been.

I see the Bradley Braves dot com roster page has brand new pictures for all of the newcomers. Best I can tell all of the returnees have yet to refresh their images...

While the frosh have been added, it didn't look like Prosser's pic had been updated from last year's. Also, as much boasting as there is about BU's national academic ratings, the typos in the men's & women's player profiles is embarrassing. Doesn't anyone proof read these things?!

Good point. I suspect just by posting your comment, there are a couple Athletic Department interns scrambling to run those bios through a spell check. :)

Correct. That is definitely the same picture as last year for JP.

The returning players did not have new pictures taken. While I am always embarrassed by typos, I don't catch them all. The best way to help me out, though, is to email me directly with things you notice that need correcting ([email protected]).

FWIW, I will be updating men's basketball player bios next week.

When I stop making typos....I will start nit-pickin typos.... :)

While I might agree MCD I find it inexcusable for any professional organization or business to put out a product that is not perfect. PR things like this, that are put out for the world to see, MUST be scrubbed for perfection. Otherwise, it just reflects very poorly on that organization/institution. I would hope that proper procedures will be put in place to ensure that things like this do not happen again...... And the same could be said about the product known as BU.tv.

Maybe Bobby can get a little help from the "Typo Police". There are some obsessed and dedicated nit-pickers of typos, and they do all that on their free time. Plus, they have found themselves banned from this board so heck... they might be able to assist Bobby free of charge.

I agree Mac -- if someone here makes a typo -- there's an entire thread about the typo ..and they brag about how they take "screen shots" and check the "archives" - thus proving something ominous, I guess...
That's the difference between BradleyFans and other boards ....all the good info is here

You don't see this as a big deal? :? :?: An institution of higher learning publicizing to the world the fact that they can't even take the time to spell check something that they use to promote their brand? :?:

Shame on you guys! :!:  I think this IS a big deal and I think if you polled Bradley students, their parents, and those here on Bradleyfans you would find that the majority agree with BradleyMom and me.

** Oh, and it's different tornado if someone here makes a typo. We're simply commenting on a forum for fun. Many here don't take the time to spell check our stuff or even capitalize and punctuate properly. There's a difference between a message board, a blog, and a professional website or publication put out to the world to promote yourself like BU has done. I'm really surprised to see you take this side of a losing argument.

It's one thing to point out a typo on a legitimate website, as BradleyMom did.

OTOH, anyone who obsesses over what is said on a bulletin board, and who's life revolves around finding and attacking typos or opinions shows how empty and desperate some people's lives are.

I never saw that DA COACH. :? PLEASE, POINT OUT THIS OBSESSION OVER THE ATTACKING OF OPINIONS AND BULLETIN BOARD TYPOS that you talk about.

I know you can't mean mean me, BradleyMom, or BueschNChips. We simply pointed out an inexcusable mistake by Bobby Parker, or someone on the Bradley staff, that did not properly proof read and edit a form of OFFICIAL Bradley University public relations that was put out on the Worldwide Web for all to see. Frankly, I'm embarrassed by both that and the excuses that I see being made by many!

I can see both sides of what's being said......

I do believe Bradley University should be held to a much higher standard than anyone posting on a message board.

I also believe there are certain people that obsess over what's said here. In fact, there seems to be a message board that has seemingly picked up where the old VT board left off with their constant screen captures, quotes, and snide remarks in almost every single topic that gets posted there. Those same people continuously state that all opinions are welcome there, but don't skip the chance to look past an opinion that would apparently be more appropriate on this message board.

I won't disagree with you on this shaunguth. But why do we even bring the other board up on this thread? :? That's not the point, nor my point. You validated the only point that I was trying to make. Why do others try to deflect from the original point? :? Bradley screwed up here. Let's fix it so it doesn't happen and move on. That's all I'm trying to say.

Please, I think you are making way too much of simple typos.

And no, I am not meaning you. But please don't play naive.
