I think they made an error when the one guy picked Indiana State as the best team because they are the only MVC team to make it to the NCAA Championship. However didn't Cincinnati make it to the Championship in the early 60's and lost to Loyola?

I think they made an error when the one guy picked Indiana State as the best team because they are the only MVC team to make it to the NCAA Championship. However didn't Cincinnati make it to the Championship in the early 60's and lost to Loyola?

Yes, Cincinnati, then a member of the MVC, lost the NCAA National Championship game to Loyola in 1963.

And of course, MVC member Bradley lost the NCAA National Championship in 1950 to CCNY.

In 1954, Bradley lost the NCAA Final as an Independent.
