New commit, per DR:

Dave Reynolds ‏@DaveReynolds2

Serbian small forward Stefan Zecevic commits to Bradley, according to European hoops websites. #peoria

Zecevic will make official visit to Bradley from Thursday-Saturday. Also coming for a visit is 6-10 Carter Evans of Rochester, Minn. #peoria

Zecevic is 6-5 and will play for Maine prep school this year. Former member of Serbian U-18 National Team. #peoria

he is rather obscure but will reportedly be making a visit this weekend to Bradley along with Carter Evans...the only word of commitment to BU
is from a couple Euro web sites...
he is reportedly going to be at Lee Academy this season.

Here are some links on Zecevic... DOB 4/03/93 .. 6-5 (shot up from 6-2 at beginning of senior year)
He plkayed last season for a small Huntsvlle, AL high school - averaging 31.5 ppg & 9.4 rpg for the Asbury Rams

Here's a pic of his high school team in Alabama - I have no sure idea but based on the picture in the 3rd link - I think he's the player farthest on the left in the back row, #34
...as his appearance is quite sijmilar to the picture on tyhe USBasket site.

Here is a YouTube video I just found - not sure if it's the same one you posted, T.

This kid has a sweet stroke - reminds me a little of AW's game, and he can dunk easily. Not necessarily a spot up shooter, but can create his own shot off the dribble.
Appears to be a good ball-handler too.
Could be a good pick-up to complement another solid perimeter shooter (OG), especially with AF running the point next year.

some amateur coach in Europe said this in a tweet a couple weeks ago...

so if this was a decision made to commit to BU two weeks ago - then puzzling why no actual confirmation from anyone...

Here's what appears to be Stefan's twitter....and indeed on August 29 he tweeted this....

"Stefan Zečević'93 bio na spisku reprezentacije do 19 godina će igrati za Univerzitet Bradley, Divizija 1. On je odbio ponudu Radničkog."

auto-translation -
"Stefan Zečević'93 was on the list to 19 teams will play for the University Bradley, 1st Division He declined the offer of the Workers."

http://twitter.com/Stef_mvp/status/240793425803345920

I then translated every tweet on that site back to May - and no other mention

Here's the amateur club team he played for

One of his former teammates was Nemanja Knezevic -- wonder if any relation

Thanks for all your hard work digging up info on this kid tornado. I really hope he's a good one. :D

Welcome to Bradley Stefan! :!:

Another apparent "out of the blue, no one has heard of" commitment....

An eastern Euro shooting guard....hmmmmmmm

Before I make further rash judgements I will have to watch high school highlight videos of MK....

I have believed all along - we're not going to get the blue chippers - our staff has to do the legwork and find the hidden gems
I like what I have read and seen thus far on the three guys mentioned, Evans, Zecevic, and Carter...

I do too, T.

Evans appears to be unathletic, but I don't know too much about him.
I'm happy we will have 2 decent, natural outside shooters with size in Greer and Zecevic, who both seem to handle the ball well too. Would like to see some stats on Zecevic from 3-point land from last season.

Before I make further rash judgements...

Don't hold back FWO... I always look forward to your rash judgements here ..:lol:

Got to give credit where credit is due though, VERY clever/snarky post!

I'm jealous.

Let's hope Zecevic outshines Knezevic! ;)

Welcome to the Hilltop Stefan. I'll at least will hold judgement on your skills for at least another 2 years! If you can shoot the 3 you'll play plenty of minutes...

With four scholarships, I don't mind a more "risky" unknown potential hidden gem for one of them. One down, three to go!

I feel a little better knowing that he was committed to UAB before switching to Bradley...at least he was on somebody else's radar. Regardless of his statistics, if he has a stroke from 3, I have no complaints.

There's still a little here that's weird...
like how come Euro sites know and say more about him and his verbal to BU but nobody else does, and perhaps a more important question would be that if he's already been offered and he's already even verballed to Bradley - then has our staff seen the kid play lately?

They couldn't have seen him play any time since last February without going over to Europe, and I suspect we have not done that.
You always take a little risk offering kids that you have not seen (need I name names?)
So I look forward to hearing a little bit more about this kid...........

also - recruiting articles do sometimes jump the gun or make mistakes...
several times I have seen some article use the name "Bradley" when they really meant Butler, and many will remember there were several articles regarding Matt Roth that were just plain wrong...
like this one saying he had eliminated ISU, Butler, and the other schools that were after him and narrowed to just Bradley and Saint Louis.
http://www.chicagosports.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=685671

After that Rivals article said that, Matt immediately told Jim Mattson that it was completely wrong and that he still was considering five schools.
