MVC womens tourney....BU vs UE

If this had happened to the men's team, the board would be in major meltdown mode right about now...

And calling for the coach to be fired.

Look they had a nice year, but you can not have a 20pt lead in a game and play so soft both on the boards and with the ball. This one should have been a BU win and not gone anywhere close to an Overtime. They simply gave away a real chance at an NCAA berth.

Turnovers, missed FT's and just getting killed on the boards.

Tulsa is right if this were Les it would be a 20 page thread but since its Paula its oh well. That performance should be held in the same light as a mens game and there needs to be quite a bit of outraged from BU and its supporters.

I think the MVC coach of the year just got outcoached by one of the "worst" teams in the valley this year. That 2nd half was just horrific, and what the heck was the called play with 10 seconds left? Go in for a layup so you only give yourself a second or 2 for a last second full court shot? Ahh well, they'll have there home digs for next season.

First off give Evansville credit. Their coach changed to a zone defense in the 2nd half and it really caused Bradley problems. Evansville also applied a full court press during the last 5:00 which gave us fits. We did put up too many quick shots, comitted too many dumb fouls and had too many unforced tournovers. Evansville also outhustled us big time on the offensive boards which gave them too many 2nd chances. I do think our Lady Braves felt the pressure of being the favorite and having a chance to go to the finals. I believe the Lady Braves might have finally turned the corner and with what they have coming in next year should be a contender for the MVC.

We (band and cheerleaders) are on our way back now. That was a painful second half and OT. The offense completely evaporated for about the first 15 minutes of the second half. We didn't get a good look at the end of regulation, and once the game went to OT I knew we were probably in trouble. I was hoping Evansville would be fatigued from the comeback and the fact that they had played an additional game, but that wasn't the case in the overtime. There were definitely some questionable coaching decisions, but when you blow a 20-point lead, it's hard to boil it down to a few plays. Tough loss to explain, and really not acceptable.

Agreed on all counts.

They beat us to every loose ball in the guts of the game. And yes, way to many unforced TO's. We had a nasty habit of picking up the dribble in bad spots and then forcing poor passes.
