MVC tourney

I think the higher seeded team (the "home" team") gets the choice which bench they have. It could depend on where the bulk of Drake fans are seated. From last night's game, it appeared the Drake fans were mostly located behind the bench in front of section 104, which was the same bench Bradley had in the late game.

Game 9 ISU Blue vs UNI. They only played once this season and the Sycamores won in Cedar Falls by 11. The Panthe are playing a lot better right now and I expect a tough hard nosed struggle.

Might be the biggest ISU crowd I’ve seen in my years coming to Arch Madness. UNI’s crowd about half of ISU’s

Isaiah Swole has 3 more 3’s for the Sycamores as they are a light out 7-10 from there to lead UNI 27-15 with 11:46 left. UNI shooting 5-13 overall, 2-4 from 3.

ISU expanded their lead to 17 but have missed their last couple of 3’s while UNI just made 3 in a row for the first time today and have cut into the lead at 34-23 with 7:04 left

2:25 left and ISU Blue leads UNI 41-30. Avila has 14 and Seope has 12 for the Sycamores and for UNI Jacob Hutson has 12

ISU off to another quick start as they scored 9 straight after UNI’s opening basket and lead 53-37 with 15:35 left. Brian Born of UNI is having another tough game as he has just 3 points on 1-7 shooting

ISU just playing and shooting too well for UNI to compete as the Sycamores lead 64-42 with 12:10 left. Swope is 5-6 from 3, Avila is 4-5 from 3, Ryan Conwell has 18 points and 12 rebounds.

InSU now up by 23, 67-44. Conwell and Swope hitting every open shot they take. And Avila and Kent have been effective inside. Both have 3 fouls, but it's too late for UNI to do much now. They seem destined to win the championship.

7:13 left and ISU up 79-59. They are 29-50 overall, 13-24 from 3, and have 20 assists to go with just 6 turnovers. Not too many teams would have beat the Sycamores today. They will face the diner of our game vs Drake for the Mo Valley Tournament tomorrow

Just a magnificent effort from ISU Blue beating UNI 94-72. The Sycamores shot 35-61 overall, 15-29 from 3. Avila led the way with 21, 5-6 from 3, Swope had 15 on 5-7 from 3, Conwell had 20 points and 13 rebounds, and Julian Larry had 17 points and 7 assists. As a team ISU had 22 assists. They will be tough to beat.

ISU Blue looks like a team on a mission, and their crowd is big and rowdy. Feels like the team of destiny, but let’s see what BU does today against Drake.

Game 10 BU vs DU. We lost both games and allowed Drake’s overly physical nature beat us at the end of games. It’s time for us to be the beast. Go get ‘em boys!

Game 11 Championship Sunday ISU Blue vs Drake. They each won at home by 12 for Drake and by 8 by ISU. ISU hasnt won since 2011 and Drake is trying to go back to back. ISU has their biggest fan base that I’ve seen in over 40 years of Arch Madness. Yesterday’s win definitely brought more Drake fans today. Key to the game is how ISU can handle Drake’s physical nature.

First tv timeout come with 12:07 left. Drake went on an 11-0 run and are leading 21-13. Tucker has 9 points and is pretty much getting any kind of shot off. I think the only guy who stops Tucker today is Tucker.

7:34 left and Drake is rolling up 37-23. DeVries picked up his second half with about 10:00 but Drake proceeded to score 11 of the next 15 points. ISU just not firing on all cylinders

And just like that here comes ISU on a 2+ minute 7-0 run to be down 37-30. It’s forced daddy DeVries to put his son back in with 2 fouls
