MVC tourney

Game 6 UNI vs Belmont. Both won on the others home court by double digits so you’d figure game #3 would be a close one
 
The biggest difference in ISU Blue’s 75-59 win over MSU was in the way each team ran their offense. MSU was for the most part one and gun whereas the Sycamores moved the ball quickly and efficiently. They finished with 24 assists on 28 made FG’s on 63 shots and the Bears had 11 assists on 21 made FG’s on 61 shots.
 
7:14 left and Belmont leads 21-18. Both teams struggling shooting with Belmont at 8-24 while UNI at 6-21.
 
In re-watching the SIU- UIC game it looked like SIU was out of sync. They did not look like they knew what to do. Mullins was trying to tell them where to go
 
UNI up 37-32 at the half. Tyton Anderson had 10 points and 9 rebounds for the Panthers who overall were 11-30 overall, 2-9 from 3. For Belmont Ja’Kobi Gillespie led the was with 11 points 4 rebounds and assists. They were 11-33 overall and they were 5-17 from 3
 
UNI hangs on to win 67-62. Anderson was a ton inside for UNI as he finished with 19 points and 19 rebounds. They were 21-63 overall, 4-18 from 3 and 21-29 from 1. Belmont shot 23-61 overall, 8-27 from 3 and 8-14 from 1. UNI will play ISU Blue in the 1st semifinal game tomorrow.
 
Game 7 Drake vs Evansville. Drake won at home by 49 and by just 3 in Evansville. The Purple Aces need to play their best game to keep it close. Still don’t think it’ll be enough.
 
10:57 left in the first half and Drake leads 16-13. Both teams have 6 made FG’s, Drake has one more made 3 for the difference.
 
In the last 8:00 of the half Drake outscored Evansville 21-4 and lead at the half 43-22. DeVries has 14 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists.
 
Drake was 14-31 overall and 5-16 from 3 and 10-11 from 1. They also had just 2 turnovers. 22 is also the lowest first half point total that the Bulldogs have held an opponent this season. Evansville was 9-25 overall, 1-5 from 3 and 3-5 from 1.
 
DeVries and Broadie were both pulled from the game with around 7 1/2 minutes to go in the game so they got some rest. Hope they get rest tomorrow because of foul trouble
 
I assume we will be on the opposite bench today being the “away” team. Can anyone confirm that? That would be on the Section 101 & 102 side.
