Murray State beat Drake in Des Moines on January 5, the only loss this year Drake has suffered on their home court. Since that loss, Drake has won 8 straight MVC games. Murray State has not played well lately. They have lost 3 straight games, and 5 of their last 6. This past Saturday, they were embarrassed at Missouri State by 21 points. It was Missouri State's first MVC win, and Murray State is now tied for 8th place in the MVC with a 5-7 record. The game is in Murray, KY, and Drake opened as just a 3.5 point favorite, though it has now moved to Drake -4.5 points. That shift might be related to a report that Murray State's Nick Ellington reinjured an ankle issue and might be limited in tonight's game.

Not a single mention anywhere of Drake, the hometown team. There are multiple articles about Iowa men's basketball, Iowa women's basketball, Iowa State teams, boys and girls high school basketball, and multiple wrestling articles. But Drake gets no respect.
By the way, Drake (20-2) is at NET 59, and got 18 votes in this week's AP Top 25 poll to rank 33rd in votes. Iowa (13-8, 12th in Big Ten, and NET 64) did not get a single vote.
