Congratulations Andrew! Extremely well-deserved. The guy vastly improved every single aspect of his game this year.

P.S. Fay over McDermott on the first team is a real head-scratcher.

nope corrected....-- Fay is Hon Mention ...but BU's last place finish probably cost JP, DSE, and AW for POY some degree of consideration...

Some interesting voting for POY. I would be interested to see the one person who didn't vote Kyle Weems in the top 3 for POY. Only 18 of the possible 36 voters put Andrew Warren in their top 3. One person voted Doug McDermott 1st.

I think JP is liked by BU fans more by what he doesn't do than what he does do. Other teams won't see that as much as we do, hence no love.

on the DSE -- I meant to insert that in Hon Mention -- as he came on late and could have gotten consideration...

Andrew Warren got the 2nd highest number of 1st place votes for Player of the Year
so obviously a lot of people may have used Bradley's 9th place finish to justify a couple
other guys ahead of Andrew........

DSE's slow start probably cost him. He was definitely all-league caliber the 2nd half the conference season.

I agree with T that the last place finish probably cost AW real POY consideration. Hard to argue with the best player on the best team, but I think most would agree AW was the best player in the league this year.

JP not being on all-freshman is a head-scratcher. Again, perhaps it was the slow start to the league season, but his numbers in the 2nd half of the year speak for themselves.

Congrats to Andrew...He certainly surprised me this year.

He is the best player in the league...

on the DSE -- I meant to insert that in Hon Mention -- as he came on late and could have gotten consideration...

After all he finished in the top ten in conference-only scoring. 12.6 points a game is pretty impressive--especially considering that he was slowed by an injury and often playing a little out of position.

AW was the best player in the MVC this year, regardless of team performance. If you would have asked BU fans before the season started to rank our players, AW would have probably been the 2nd or 3rd option for most. His overall game took a huge step forwrad this season.
