More about Bradley and other Valley teams' disappointment with new schedule

Right.

And if UIUC plays some games in Peoria next year.... hmmm.... wonder who will get 1st choice of dates or times. UIUC will fill the arena, Bradley will average 9000. PCC might favor UIUC in scheduling.

If the PCC was concerned with one of their best tenants, BU.. I think they give BU a certain # of possible dates (that will not have a Riverman conflict) The PCC should either allow BU to decline 3 of those dates, or wait for MVC to determine the road games and give those to UIUC. (At T pointed out B10 does not yet have their schedule and the B10 network would require an entire day's availability to fit TV schedule)

There aren't enough good teams in college basketball for every team to go around and get a couple quality non-conference games. Usually, that's OK because some teams cupcake it up...but this year, it seems like everyone wants to beef up their schedule - and there's no one left to do it with!

Perhaps the fine folks at Bradleyfans.com should make the MVC schedule since it seems to be so easy.

I honestly think I could have done a better job, scheduling is actually not entirely difficult. Its pretty much a standard algorithm that gets modified by the weight of importance. I could make an excel sheet in about a days time that could handle next to everything for the MVC and then you can always do a little human fudging.

Let's face it we all would love to have our most vocal fans at our biggest games but on the flip side JL will now have the undivided attention, at home, of the team during the break for those games. That in itself may pay huge dividends this year.

I would be curious to see our home conference record during Christmas Break over the last ten years. Maybe this is a moot point.

If the team can't pay attention during our biggest home games then this team has serious issues.

The team will not have to worry about SCHOOL WORK!!!!! All they have to do is be like Michael Phelps Sleep, eat and practice!!! There will also be less extra curricular activities in distracting a young mans mind......

Oh yeah, there is that. Haha, I usually agree with pretty much everything you post, so I though I may have missed something

When you don't own your arena, and you compete with the Peoria Rivermen, the home show, the auto show, monster trucks, and Brooks and Dunn, you're not going to get all of the ideal scheduling you would desire. This isn't a slap at BU or the Civic Center, just a fact of life.

I agree as well, though I'm just curious why they couldn't find one date for the ISU-Bradley game while the students are on campus. Even a Monday night game would suffice.
