Michigan State v Indiana

Great game last night. Indiana appears to have some great shooters and at least one superstar. I do not like Indiana going back to the Bobby Knight year but Victor Oladipo is a ball player. Right now he is my favorite college basketball player that does not play for Bradley. I hate to say it but they are probably the only team in the nation that I'd pencil into the Final Four without looking at their bracket and match ups. To go into MSU late in the year and win like they did says something about their squad and coach.

BTW...Victor Oladipo reminds me of a young mix of MJ and Dwayne Wade when they were in college. He should be a top 5 NBA pick.

Oladipo is amazingly athletic but still needs to develop a little more range since the NBA 3-pointers are not from 20 feet...
if Oladipo had Jordan Hulls' range - he'd be the #1 pick

Remy Abell also fills in and plays very solid - waiting his turn to play a whole lot more next year...

Very solid as in 2 ppg in his last 12 games?
I sure hope he gets his chance to get a lot more minutes and doesn't 2nd guess going to IU.

Right now it's looking like he will do a little better for his career than Sammy did last year for the Illini. He doesn't put up much of anything in the big games (8 games vs. Top 7 B-10 teams) as far as production even with his limited minutes...(about 1 ppg, 2 assists, 6 TO's in the those games vs. those teams in the B-10, and he probably gets garbage minutes in the games they are blowing out the weaker opponents)

I'd be a bit worried as a Hoosier fan if he is projected to start next season.
It's sort of like us expecting JC or KB to start next season.

Remy will be recruited over. Big mistake going to IU. Don't know if he would have done any better coming here but I'd think he would have gotten more minutes than he's getting this year.

It is looking more and more like Remy is on the Matt Roth Scholarship Program.

**** shame for both of them. They both could have been Andrew Warren level guards at Bradley. Maybe Remy will get a national championship though, which is a helluva lot more than Roth ever got.

And I really wish we would have recruited Bielfeldt. He is another guy that won't ever see major minutes, but I don't blame him for not coming to Bradley.

A little early to know for sure on Abell...heck Crean recruited him so they must think he's ok.....but he didn't come here so it doesn't make any difference to me really

Remy isn't playing much because they're loaded but I guess you can pick at whatever you want -
had you watched the game against Michigan State - he looked solid, confident, and played POINT GUARD at a Big Ten level without a turnover.

Of the only six players on the Indiana Hoosiers squad who score more than Remy - three are said to be 1st round draft picks - possibly even lottery picks (Zeller, Oladipo, Watford), and two others (Hulls & Ferrell) were TOP 10 ranked point guards coming out of high school.
Crean must think something of him as he's currently playing ahead of three guys on their roster who were TOP 50 ranked nationally & four who were Top 100.

OK this thread got hijacked! This was about Victor!

You guys can start your own Remy thread if you like.
