Miami Heat- LeBron's super team

The Heat have been rollin ever since Wade took control of "his" team again LOL. Lebron and Bosh have taken a back seat on the offense and let Wade do the damage.

Probably the most surprising stat of the night was 0 points in the 2nd half from Dwight Howard. They will be near impossible to take down in a playoff series now that they seem to have figured things out.

I love how Wade and Bosh have made it CLEAR that they haven't even begun to mesh at all yet, as if that is the only reason for their lackluster game one. It certainly could have a lot to do with them losing, but I just really hate the overall arrogance surrounding the Heat.

That and the new LeBron commercial should be as much evidence as I need when I get questioned as to why I hate the Heat.

Hmm...not everyone shared this opinion....I know I sure didn't ..

Here are just a few thoughts.........

-Miami is now 8-7, losing even to teams like Memphis, DWade is only 1-19 in 3-pointers over last 3 games

-Miami was even better, 9-6, at this point last year on the way to winning 47 games.

-LeBron's last team, the 2009-2010 Cavs, were 11-4 at this point

-The Bulls have struggled quite a bit at times, are still without their best player (Boozer) and yet they are 8-5 and in 1st place -- already having played SIX of their toughest road games of the year (@Boston and 5 games on the southwestern road swing)



BTW -- did anyone see this --

Boozer IS not and WILL not be the Bulls "best player".......good Big but D. Rose is the Bulls top dog. Period.

With that said it WILL be nice to have him back....

The Miami Heat superteam lost again last night to the Dallas Mavericks to drop to 9-8 on the season.
Now there is another controversy. After a timeout in the 3rd quarter that coach Eric Spoelstra called because of another of many Heat defensive breakdowns, LeBron james walked toward the Miami bench and bumped into the Heat coach. It could have been inadvertant, but many believe there was some intended meaning behind this incident. It appears both men could have avoided the bump. There was also some arguing among players on the bench, and the players held a long "players-only" meeting after the game and refused to talk about what was discussed.

here's the most telling stat...

The Miami Heat are 1-7 against teams that are .500 or better!!
In other words -- they can only beat teams under .500!

Rose is unbelievable. He is playing at another level than the rest of the players in the NBA. I'm really glad he is in Chicago! The Bulls could take out Miami. Miami's main weaknesses are PG and C. Noah has been looking really solid all season.
 
Talked to Alonzo Mourning the other day and he is confident that by the time the playoffs are here the team will be dominating everyone. Just repeating what he told me.......he was not concerned at all.

As I have said since the big 3 signed with Miami, this team has major flaws. They are lacking a solid NBA point guard, they are a bad outside shooting team, a bad passing team (22nd in assists), and they are one of the worst rebounding teams in the NBA (22nd overall, and 28th in off. reb.). They are just 9-8 despite playing 10 of their 17 games at home, and their schedule will get a lot tougher.
They rank in the lower half of the NBA in almost every meaningful team stat. And now they appear to be sqabbling among themselves. I think things could get worse.

Agree 100%, and I am loving every minute of it.
 
Probably in the minority, but by the time Mike Miller comes back, Pat Riley takes over as coach, and Miami trades for a decent PG, I think they will be very good. Not great, but very good. Guess time will tell but someone mentioned trades of James or Bosh. No one in their right mind would take Bosh at this point. and I don't see LeBron going anywhere either

Riley is an egomaniac and is probably frothing at the mouth to coach this team. He loves setting himself up to be the conquering hero. I agree, I think he will be their coach soon..... and I'd just LOVE to see all of these huge egos massively deflated in a season of colossal failure. :)

Riley and Miller won't fix much. Miami has no assets to trade and can't really take on any more salary. Bosh is being exposed for being both weak and lazy, and his value is declining, especially relative to his salary. Hilarious how LBJ was much closer to a championship in Cleveland than he is in Miami.

What should I do? :biggrin:
