Meet the newcomer: Mikey Howell

Team better be on their toes the way this kid passes! Looking forward to having a pass first point guard.

As Mikey says in the video, he was being recruited by a lot of mid-major schools his junior year in high school, when he unfortunately tore his ACL knee ligament. He ended up missing his senior season in high school and redshirted his first season at UC San Diego before recovering well enough to play his first season in 2017-18 as a redshirt freshman.

And one other interesting fact- Mikey has a younger brother, Chris Howell, who was a highly recruited player in the San Diego area in the class of 2021.
He committed to St. Mary's, and is now a freshman there.
