Two months after abruptly leaving Bradley, Mayar Wol is committing to Bowling Green State University.
They were 14-18 last year, NET 289
And like a lots of mid-majors, they lost nearly everyone & were still sitting on a couple scholarships.
He will probably be immediately eligible but still needs to be cleared by NCAA.

Wow....BG.....would still like to know what happened but think we will be OK now with Handy taking the open slot!🎯🎯🎯

From what i heard the guy never showed up at Bradley. This to me looks like he just wanted a guaranteed starting spot which is why he chose a mediocre team.

This is just a rumor I heard, but I heard it may have been due to academics.
well, he was accepted, signed (April 24) and enrolled at Bradley and began Summer Session 1 on May 21, so there couldn't have been any academic issues then, right?
Then he left the team and the school on June 8, just a little over two weeks into the first Summer Session,
and only ONE WEEK into voluntary team activities - a time which is long before any academic measures could have realistically been in play.
I think it's more complicated than that. The fact he is fairly highly touted, was 6th Man of the Year in the ASun (the Valley's 6th Man of the Year left & transferred to the Big Ten)
...and yet he lingered for months in the portal and lands at a spot far below MVC-caliber - means there were other issues.

He was never a student at Bradley. Never on the team.
Transfers don't sign a NLI. They sign financial aid agreements.

Yes, I know but what I reported is accurate....Bradley says he SIGNED on April 24 - what I said

and also as I said - HE ENROLLED AT BRADLEY - LINK - and at one point he was on the roster...
as Dave Eminian's June 9 column said "Bradley basketball removes transfer forward from roster"

so I never said he was a "stuident at Bradley" but it appears he was as he's listed as a student in the Bradley STUDENT DIRECTORY
I never said he attended classes but it appears he was enrolled, so maybe he never went to class?
The June 8 date was when he was reported to have left the school & was removed from the roster,
But it's water over the dam now, he's at Bowling Green and not here.

Why would the student directory list a student who was never a student at Bradley?

When they say he signed was it the Letter of Intent he signed or do they even have that anymore

Transfers from other 4-year colleges were never eligible to sign a National Letter of Intent. Only high schoolers and junior college graduates were eligible when entering Division I and II schools..
But as of last fall, the NCAA has completely eliminated the NLI for Division I for all student athletes- Link

they signs an agreement to accept the scholarship offered - a "Scholarship Agreement"
see 3rd paragraph -- NLI phased out...

they also may sign an NIL agreement if applicable...
