Matt Roth

with all the great talent coming out the Peoria area .....

the Peoria area is about to have a relative drought....

Right now, with the graduation at Richwoods of Bill Cole and Justin Dehm, the D-I talent is going to become scarce.
We already know about Roth at Washington, Prosser at Eureka, and DJ Richardson at Central (and going to Richwoods next year), but all of those guys were very well known even as freshmen, right?

Tell me which present freshmen are going have an impact?
I have trouble thinking of even one!
I suspect we will hear a little about Tyler Les at PND, but the rest of Central IL is short on freshman talent.

I said next to POB...which would mean POB would be the best signing of JL's tenure. IMO Roth is going to be an impact player. I don't know if you have seen him play, but he can take over a game with his shooting, which would fit in nicely with BU's offensive scheme.

As for my drinking the orange kool-aid....don't think so, I am a former Potter with future Potters running around the house!

IMO I'll take this years freshman guard SamM over Roth, I would take also Buycks or West, and you have to put M Sommerville in there.

I've seen Roth play more times than I can remember.....enough to form a fairly strong opinion on his ability to be an impact player at the next level. There's a reason that some recruiting experts consider him the best pure shooter in the '08 class.....his range is virtually limitless.

The orange kool-aid comment was tongue-in-cheek.....but I think you already knew that, right?

Knew you were kidding...no problem....though I have to admit I have seen far more WACOHI games the past 10 years than MHS games...mostly because I teach and coach in Washington, I like to cheer on former athletes but can't seem to truly pull for the Panthers

Tornado, my post said "the last 10 years". I do think that Matt Roth is the best area player graduating next year and I hope he will be wearing a Bradley uniform in the 2008-09 season.
