Malevy Leons signs new NBA deal

another decent game for Malevy -
final regular season game, Warriors lost 115-110 to Clippers, but finish in the 10th playoff spot
and they begin the playoffs wednesday at 9pm Central against the Clippers.
Malevy played 17 minutes off the bench, went 3-4, 8 pts, 2 reb, 2 asst
His final regular season averages are :
25 games, 2 starts, 11 min/gm, 83 pts, 3.3ppg, 32-72 FG% (44.4%), 4-16 3-pt (25%), 15-19 (79%) FTs, 2.1rpg, 1apg, 0.4stls, 0.6 blks, 0.5 TO

So CONGRATS to Malevy, his season is over. The G-League ended last Friday and per rules:
"Players on two-way contracts are ineligible for the postseason, and teams are no longer able to make roster moves,
which means Cryer, Leons and Williams will not play no matter how far the Warriors advance."

Sadly for Malevy-- and despite his efforts to help them out while their entire lineup was out with injuries...
The Warriors lost last night to the Suns & were eliminated from postseason play. The Suns now grab the #8 playoff spot & face the Thunder.

Malevy showed flashes and is getting props from NBA gurus as a "hot property" among role players if the Warriors choose to deal him.
 
The Golden State Warriors have just released their Summer League roster and schedule

Malevy Leons is on the roster (LINK) and the schedule includes 11 games (some are split squads) and
games begin this Friday

****BUT- the big news out of the NBA is that LeBron is leaving the LA Lakers - and wants to play for another team.
Where will he go?
The early "FRONTRUNNER" is Golden State - he'll be teammates with Malevy!!

Malevy started & played 22 min
11pts, 4 Reb, 4 asst, 3 stl, 5-8 shooting & 1-2 from 3-pt
Lendeborg also played very well, 19 pts in 22 min, 6-6, 4-4 from 3-pt, 5 Reb, 6 asst.
Warriors beat the Lakers 104-72
They play again Sunday.

Meanwhile, for San Antonio, another former MVC guy JaKobi Gillespie went 3-17 in his pro debut. Ryan Conwell went 4-12.

On Saturday Bennett Stirtz played 24 min for OKC, 10 pts, 2-3 on 3-pointers, 4 asst 3 steals
Ben Humrichous is playing for Brooklyn, 10 min in the 1st half, 3 pts, 1 stl, 1 blk
For Sacramento, former MVC guys Jamarion Sharp (5pts), Jonathan Mogbo (2pts) and Mitch Mascari (scoreless) have gotten minutes

The Lakers' summer league team contains a lot of names I've never heard of.
Their only pick in last month's NBA Draft, Cameron Carr from Baylor, did play, and he was the only bright spot for the Lakers. He scored 19 points on a team-high 15 shots, while the rest of the starters combined, only totaled 19 points.
Robbie Avila, who signed with the Lakers as a free agent, is on the roster, but did not play.
The only Lakers player last night who has any NBA experience was forward Adou Thiero, a 2nd round pick from 2025, who averaged 1.9 ppg last year in 6.5 minutes playing time per game in 25 games last season.
