Luciano article

When was the last time he attended a basketball game, this article is a joke and he should stick to writing articles about things he actually knows about which is not basketball. Must have been a slow day at the office.

or stick to what he does best and booze

I cannot stand him, I read the first two lines and closed it. The only reason I even opened one of his articles is because it was about BU Hoops....Won't make that mistake again.

Yeah. He thinks he has some rare old sweatshirt with the "Bradley football- undefeated since 1970" on it. I have seen hundreds of those shirts at games and events.

This paragraph say it all-

I'm no basketball expert. But as local resident for almost a quarter-century, I wonder the same thing as a lot of other folks around here: Why can't the program develop a consistent culture of contention, if not flat-out winning? You look at schools with similar enrollment figures - Gonzaga, Butler - and wonder if Bradley even thinks about taking that kind of step. Those schools weren't always tourney contenders, you know.

Yes, we know he is not an expert. To even begin to compare Bradley basketball with football is so ridiculous it is funny. So why spend most of his column rehashing Bradley's football history?

But then to ask why can't Bradley be like the top midmajors, and of course he brings up the same 2 worn-out examples everyone does, shows just how shallow his mindset is. If that is the point of this column, why not spend some of that space he wasted on the history of Bradley football, and actually make an intelligent effort to evaluate how hard it is as a midmajor to be more successful than Bradley?

Recall that Midmajority.com did the most objective analysis of midmajor schools that I have ever seen done, and they rated Bradley 11th out of 273 non-power conference teams. But I guess it's easier to take the simple-minded way out and just name the 2 best schools like every unknowledgeable person does, and ask why can't Bradley be Gonzaga or Butler. If it was easy, the other 270 midmajors would have done it, and there wouldn't be just 2 examples.

Here's a followup on the midmajor basketball site called "Midmajority.com"...
they have announced they are going to close shop, turn off the lights, and cease to exist...
There was a time the site served mid-major basketball very well - but recently the founder has given up.
