Pomeroy's new BU projection...

19-11, 11-7 in conference. Pomeroy predicts an impending 7 game winning streak.

However, Pomeroy predicts BU finishing the year 5-6 (not very appealing to the committee), including home loss to ISU by 1 point!

That is very cool. I have been on his site before but I have never seen the prediction stuff. I predict basically the same thing except I think we will lose to UNI in Iowa and we will beat ISU at home.

I still can't fathom where he gets his prediction for ISU. 23-7 with them not losing again til February 6, including wins at UIC, Creighton, Drake, Bradley, SIU, and UNI.

It's just a computer prediction based on the current numbers. I don't think it really takes certain things into consideration. Also, I would think that these predictions are somewhat liquid in that if they are based on the current numbers those will change after each game. Therefore, a later prediction could be different depending on how teams do leading up to each future game. I am correct in my assumptions? If you know more about it please educate us. Thanks.

I actually have not researched it enough to know what goes into Pomeroy's predictions (I know squirrel and a few others have). I know that generally the predictions don't hold much water until around mid-season (games 15-16), and that last year for the Braves it was off by only 1 game (the win at UNI). Nonetheless, I find it interesting.
