Kobe Bryant --Dead

Tragic news. It's being reported that several others on board Kobe's private helicopter were killed along with Kobe in the hills near Calabasas, Ca. No reports yet on the identity of the other people killed.

Reportedly, Kobe used his private helicopter to commute between his home in Newport Beach and downtown LA to attend games and to his sports academy in Thousand Oaks.

Kobe after his March 2005 sexual assault trial truly cleaned up his act. He missed making millions $$$ after this incident. McDonalds dropped Kobe like a wet blanket. I remember the "rock" that Kobe bought his wife right after this. After this - not a peep of trouble in the last 15 years. I truly believed he repented and dedicated himself to his wife and 4 daughters. He was and always will be an amazing basketball player. On the same tier as Jordan.

They say Vanessa Bryant's heart shattered into a million pieces. I'll bet it was more like a trillion for Vanessa and her 3 remaining daughters.

God Bless Kobe and his daughter and those also on this flight.

Yes, the things he was accused of were terrible and inexcusable. I do not presume to stand in judgement of Kobe because we are all very flawed.
But after that incident in his earlier years, he became very much more religious. You won't find very much about that part of his life in the media, but a couple religious based websites have articles that are worth reading.
IMO, it does seem to have greatly changed his life. He appeared to stop pursuing self-fulfillment as much, and begin more philanthropic endeavors and focusing more on his marriage and children. The endorsements all came back and even moreso, and I think he was a better and more admirable man.
