Justin Safford is off the Board

One of the kids BU was looking at, Justin Safford,
Has committed to Missouri.

This info has yet to be reported anywhere, by any recruiting service or online source, but comes to me from a pretty good source.

Winthrop, Xavier, South Carolina, Virginia Tech and a host of others were in the mix. Wake Forest had been his top choice but the Deacons did not offer a scholarship."

In an interview Wednesday, Justin said the three factors that made him choose Mizzou are:

--they only had one scholarship to offer and were going to use it and lock it up within a week.

--they are the closest program to his home (Bloomington IL) that actually offered and he wants his family to be able to watch him.

--Mizzou has NINE seniors next year (lots of 1st year juco players this year), so by his soph year Justin will have more experience at Mizzou than most of the team. He hopes that translates into lots of playing time.
