Take this for what its worth but I have a relative that is a bradley student and is pretty good friends with josh and he told me tonight josh is still very torn on coming back to BU. His mom definitely wants him to stay but his "advisors" think he can be somewhere bigger. He told my cousin he really wants to be the guy who can help turn things around here but sounds like a lot of people are in his ear right now..hes also not heartbroken geno isn't here anymore fyi

Coach Wardle has one job right now, and that is convincing Josh Cunningham and Donte Thomas that they need to stay in Peoria and help rebuild Bradley Basketball. If Coach Wardle can do that it will speed up this rebuilding process tenfold. Josh and Donte can go down in BU history as two of the key pieces that brought Bradley Basketball back to the top of the MVC!

JC can be our version of Keifer Sykes here. The guy who brings Bradley back to relevance, much like Sykes did with UW-GB and Coach Wardle.

Lets hope he weighs both options and makes the correct decision, i would love to see Josh for three more years!

If Josh leaves Bradley, I think he will go where Chin Coleman goes, if he isn't kept on Wardle's staff.

Sounds to me like coach Wardle's biggest strength is recruiting---so if Cunningham & Thomas decide to go somewhere where they can play for an immediate winner--so be it--I trust coach Wardle can attract some of his own very good talent who will help us rebuild--I am ready for a change however it shakes out;)

I understand what you are saying Wiz??¦.but it really depends on how the relationship is or can be between Coleman and Wardle??¦??¦...

This is very important that the Ass't coaches and the head coach are on the same page. If it is true that GF never got to select his Ass't coaches then his lack of success could easily be explained in that fact alone.
I hope that BW brings in guys that he completely trusts as that is the secret to succeeding

I don't see much chance Coleman stays. I would want the head coach to hire his own assistants. When it doesn't happen, it usually leads to problems.

Wasn't Coleman forced on both Les and Ford? Neither of them chose him as an assistant did they?

Coleman never worked under Jim Les. He was hired by Geno (it was Geno's choice) to replace Greg Graham in late September, 2012

There were a couple assistant coach hirings done by the President and AD, and forced upon Jim Les back in 2010, but that was well before Coleman was hired.

Thanks Coach. I was thinking of Willie Scott!

a head coach must be allowed to bring in the staff of his own choosing - to force or even push a head coach to do otherwise does cause and has caused terrible results here and elsewhere...

schools will scramble to fill open scholarships so Josh will get callers....
but he doesn't play the low post, and yet tries the wing with his 23% shooting from outside...
..time will tell......

No insider knowledge at all but if I had to call my shot right now it would be DePaul or Illinois for both Josh and Chin.

I was thinking DePaul. Illinois doesn't need a 6'7". They have one opening (currently) and they are looking at centers or PGs. DePaul on the other hand will be looking to add any Chicago they can.
