Jim Les Post Game interview

Great to hear Jim Les speak with great respect of Coach K and the Duke program..But it is crystal clear Bradley University has a quality coach with much class. Keep up the great job Jim.

No one ever said JL wasn't a classy guy...Now if he could just recruit, and coach, some players good enough to win the MVC/MVC Tourney.....He'd be perfect!

I think he can obviously recruit too...and he's coached them to some wins in big spots...the key is to be consistent. C'Mon, Coach. We know you can do it.

If he can recruit, why is our record so mediocre?

Speaking of JL's recruiting, I think that he needs to recruit guards with different skill sets. For the most part our guards are very similar. They are slashers who can not shoot the three on a consistent basis!

I thought Les had a masterful game plan and I thought our guys played admirably. I was proud of the effort and proud to be a Brave! :)

"Masterful game plan"??? Really? :lol::lol::lol:

Yeah, I loved the part of the "masterful game plan" that gave up 30 wide open 3-pointers to Duke...that was genius.

From the CBSSports.com write-up: "Early on, Duke offense looked stagnant while settling for 3-pointers -- albeit open ones -- against Bradley's zone defense. Dawkins hit four 3s in the first half, but the rest of the Blue Devils went 1 for 10 from behind the arc and the team shot just 39 percent to take a 32-18 halftime lead.

Of course, everything looked better once those shots started falling after halftime."

I stand by my comment. It was "masterful" while it lasted. :(

I'd like to know what other people would have done if you don't think letting Duke shoot outside was a good game plan? Let them just pound it inside and make lay-ups and alley-oop dunks all night long? Basically we had no chance in this game, and we actually looked halfway decent in the first half, especially on Defense and rebounding.

I agree. We did what we could do. In fact I didn't think we got homere either like I thought might happen. Not that they needed it but it wass a well callled game.

Also you had a game coached by two coaches with over a combined 1000 wins:)

Last night was basically pick your poison for us against Duke. The other alternatives would have been for us to get in a running game and or have Duke tear us apart with their inside game. Getting into a running game with Duke would have been a much bigger disaster!

I didn't know where to put this, but I just received a comment from a friend of mine who is a professor at Duke. One thing that he told me that wasn't mentioned in the PJS articles is that during the game JL would stomp his foot on the floor to try to get our player's attention. The Cameron Crazies picked up on this and would mock JL every time after he stomped his foot until JL sat down.

I have to admit that is good stuff from the crazies!:lol:

Awesome!

Hey, could we affectionately rename the Red Sea to Stomp! ?
