Itoo Hall Meet the Braves event

BLOOMINGTON ??” About 500 Bradley basketball fans donned their red sweaters and their cheerful countenance Tuesday night for the annual spaghetti supper at the Itoo Hall.

No wonder I didn't find my way there last night!

Seriously, I got stuck at work finishing up some month-end reporting. Sounds like a fun evening and I'm very much looking forward to next year at the new digs!

a tweet from Will E and Andrew W...

"So get all those doubts out of your heads. Everybody??™s healthy. No more questions about how we??™re feeling."

right on!!

This is GREAT news! There are now NO excuses for this team! This should, without a doubt, be a top 3 team in the MVC!

Stay healthy and let's go dancin'! :)

RE Comments about BU Players -

Over the past couple years several upperclass BU BB players were hired as interns in my former company's Marketing Dept. for the summer semester. I had the pleasure of managing one player, and working with several others before I retired. I was always impressed how polite, mature and hard working these kids were - juggling school committments, work, and their off season basketball committments. Glad to see the current BU players exhibit the same traits from the comments from those at the Itoo event.

One helpful suggestion for this event next year. At the table where they were selling Bradley merchandise, the sweatshirts and for that matter most shirts that they were selling were only available in small or medium sizes. I purchased a pullover jacket at a reasonable price, but was astonished at the lack of selection that was available at a Bradley event.

Again, I am just trying to make a helpful suggestion for next year.

Hey does anyone recall what JL was talking about when he discussed "after we returned from Brazil...."

I THINK he said the guys were feeling pretty good about themselves and I had to bring them back to reality (or something of that nature)...and he did that with the start of some of the toughest workouts (5:30) am he has ever incorporated into the esrly season workouts.

He mentions the guys got real familiar with the stairs at the PCC and told the guys NO ONE was going to outwork us at home.

The workouts and stair comments were made...I just can't recall if it was what he said following the return from Brazil comment....

Thanks...

Here are Jim Les' words-
???When we came back from Brazil, we thought we were the schizz, in their terms,??? Les said. ???They thought they had arrived. So we as coaches had to bring ??™em back to reality. This has been one of the toughest preseason campaigns we??™ve had since I??™ve been here, not only physically but mentally.

???We??™ve done some 5:30 a.m. workouts. We??™ve touched every stair in the Civic Center. We??™ve been in the pool at 6 a.m. We??™ve had a dose of toughness. In my opinion, the only thing separating these guys and the goals we have for them to be a special team is their mental approach and mental toughness.???
