ISU Closed scrimmage

From what I was told, it went well.

Porter was pleased overall and he likes these controlled practices so he can stop play immediately and instruct when necessary. All with the added benefit of playing against a different team.

I was told that ISU started slowly, but as the day wore on they played them straight-up and competed well. I was told it was productive and a good baromter for where they are in terms of offensive execution in the half court and also how the defensive rotations are developing.

Much like the exibition game Coach Moser was experimenting with several player combinations and since there are viable options at the 9th and 10th spots on the roster, he can afford to do this.

Did they keep a score?? or track who had how many points?

Not that I know of.

I was told that after a slow start, the Redbirds played them pretty tough and pretty even. I'm sure Iowa got the better of it overall, especially considering the slow start that apparently occured, but I know Coach Moser was pleased and encouraged overall by his team's showing.
