is this the tallest bball player ever??

I have seen stories about this player before. He suffers from acromegaly or pituitary gigantism. He is very tall, but will never be a very good athlete because of the illness.
 
Yeah, I'm pretty sure he's not too capable of doing much, though I might go to a local ABA game and pay a few bucks to see a 7 foot 9 guy...
