Illinois State loses at home to Ohio

I'd be happy if they lost every game for the rest of the year...but that still doesn't change the fact that we are going to struggle this year (it would make it a little easier haha).

Maybe we'll see them on Thursday in STL.

Thing is after three decent years they were expected to struggle a bit as they reload...we on the other hand are in year 9 of trying to climb to the top of the valley.

Yeah....it's just too bad someone else had to schedule all these tough games for them!

Besides, I was under the impression the NCAA tournament is the only thing that matters. What has isu done there in the last three seasons?

I know.....the coach is responsible for everything, but how good is any mid-major team without two of their best players?

And in 9 years we have never had to reload (at any position).

Oh, and don't worry - I know that going to the NCAA and making it to the Sweet 16 is much less gratifying than climbing to the top of the valley.

But just ask Izzo how many times he has won the B10 Tourney title with his 6 Final 4 teams in the past 12 seasons. Answer = 0.

Yea - he's won the conference but not a B10 tourney. And he's not happy about it. But still - the guy's got 6 Final 4's!!!! And their fans are still not happy (enough).

So I guess it's all about pleasing the fans.

Win the conference. Ahhh, but then not win the conference tourney = not happy. Or, win them both, get a #9 seed, lose first round to mid-pack SEC team = fans still not happy.

Frankly - it seems fans aren't happy unless they have something to complain about. But so that means... Bradley fans are always happy, cause they always have something to complain about.

Vicious cycle.

We scheduled this one ourselves.

DJ Cooper is a stud.

Wilkins had a very nice evening.

Our bigs are good, but our guards are suspect; like the Bizarro BU Braves.

I'm happy about this. I shouldn't be. But I am.

Ditto---and yes you should if you are a true BU fan---hate the enemy and hope they lose each and every time out---I'm for BU and whoever ISU (Red) is playing (That said---next month will be the time for us to end our 3 game losing streak to these guys and help bury them to the Thursday night game in St. Louis:lol:)

My bad. I thought I heard on the radio yesterday that it was a return BracketBuster game and I didn't even think if that was accurate or not.

Is Vince Gill in town again.....only 4,000 people showed up?

The sked, the price raise, the economy, the team... It's all snowballing.

Where is cpacmel to tell us that it's butts in seats so it's more than BU gets?

Actually that answer is 1. In 1999 Michigan State won the Big Ten Tourney title and made the Final 4.

My bad Cpac. Tks for the correction. I think at first, I was counting this season as part of the 12 seasons - but why would I count this year when it hasn't finished. ;-)

I don't want to speak for mel, but I'm betting he knows that BU has better actual attendance #s. amk said that mel has made statements where he stated ISU gets more butts in the seats. Good luck finding that quote.

I agree that he never claimed ISU gets more than Bradley, but he did claim the actual attendance numbers are similar, which I would take issue with.
Bradley has never had anywhere close to 4,027 actual fans in the seats for a regular season home game for as long as I can recall.

And if I wanted to dedicate the time that some ISU fans seem to, I am sure I could parse all the posts on the Redbird board and find a few inaccurate statements about Bradley as well. :)

It's pretty simple math. We had less than 300 students at the game last night. We have just over 3000 season ticket holders that are students.

That's 2,700 people that weren't counted last night that would have been counted at the PCC.

And that doesn't even take into account regular and corporate season ticket holders who didn't show last night either.
