I saw the BU game blog and spotted this line....

???Bouts walk in my game??¦:: headphones blasting.. Bouta smack these dudes??¦ 20n 10 I??™m thinkin???

That from TB's twitter.

:-o

You're not suggesting that what a college kid posts on his twitter page is somehow responsible for losing the game? TB is a great kid, and very smart. I am sure you'd like him if you talked to him. I don't think we should make a big deal about the way a teenager "talks smack" in his personal tweets.

good free thrower too. i think he will play pro. tremendous athlete with a great shooting touch.

Can't speak for JD....I'll let his wife do that for him;).....but I am guessing that he is leaning toward the mind set that the team seemed to have going into this game. Now don't get me wrong, you obviously need to be confident in yourself and your teammates. IMO, the team, early on, seemed to play this game like they thought it was going to be an easy win. They let IndySt. gain a ton of confidence and I think that ultimately that led to the loss.

And also... Taylor Brown had 14 points and 13 rebounds. Not too far off from what he said huh?. What is the big deal about having confidence? One of the things this team is lacking is attitude, and Taylor is one of the few who brings it.

Would we rather see....

"Nutha GAME ffrom this mediocra TeAm i committed too...im bored on this crappy bus ride to indiana state....they bring NO ffanz and no scouts from the league bout to be here watching...ima take a night offf....hopes i getz in some fouls troubles"

Love the confidence. But when you say you are going to "smack these dudes" and then the team lays another egg it tells you exactly how unprepared the team was yet again.

Ding Ding....you are correct Bigdaddy.

from today's Journal Star.

???The first 35 minutes we didn??™t play with intensity or energy as a team,??? said BU guard Sam Maniscalco. ???Especially on the road you can??™t afford to do that. I really can??™t put a finger on why. We didn??™t come out ready or focused. It was everybody.???

Not focused....didn't come ready to play. That sounds about right.

fire the coach.:|

I think Bradley should have a new policy where we have a long line of potential coaches as assistants, and in other jobs in the athletic dept.
Then we fire the coach after every game we lose, and after every game we don't win by enough points to satisfy everyone.

DC, I'm fairly certain that no one wants to get rid of Les during the season. Many think that the team is trending in the wrong direction for the past 4 seasons, with another major drop off this year. If and when a change is made, it will be in the of season, probably sooner rather than later to help with recruiting and preparing the team for next season.

Again all this talk about a coaching change is premature........

this situation will fall under the Cubs slogan "wait till next year"

There have indeed been posters advocating firing the coach "right now".
But I don't agree with your last sentence. The coach is not in danger of losing his job this off-season.

that's what i was saying.......either we do significantly better and go forward or if have the same type of season then look to change

I don't see anyone on this thread saying "fire the coach". Several posters are frustrated with how we can play so well against UNI, the #1 team in the conference and #18 in the country, and then come out and lay an egg against Indy St.

I understand this is a pro-BU board. What I don't understand is how we are suppose to react after a game like last night. Being critical of the team does not make you hate the coach, players, assistants....etc.

Some on here used words that PLAYERS said to back up their point. The team was not ready to play last night. For whatever reason they came out flat, as SM said, they played about the last 5 mins of the game. That kind of effort isn't going to cut it against most teams, especially in the Valley. So I don't have a problem with posters who see, read, or hear players comments and kind of wonder where the focus is at.

That is correct. The players have said, on many occasions, that they often come out flat, or not ready to play.

Jim has mentioned the team not being ready on several occasions.

If a team is not ready to play, who is to blame?

I am about to play a basketball game. I am also listening to very loud music currently. We are going to defeat the other team by a hefty margin. I imagine that tonight I will score 20 points and get 10 rebounds.

I think this is a gas, and I am glad he enters the game with this kind of confidence and moxie.
Would you rather he tweet "scared a dis game, we gon loose, Im going ofer"?
